The main feature of getting a cord like this is the convenience of having a joined stereo cord and the prospect of having a little more order in a practice space, studio, or stage. Let's face it, having myriads of cords tangled and littering the floor is like navigating through an explosion in a spaghetti factory. I purchased two of these cords (10-foot lengths). One is used as part of a stereo effects loop with multi-effects pedal (1/4" stereo to 1/4" stereo), and the other is used with a stereo drum machine (Stereo 1/4" to RCA jacks on an amp). I've had them for about a month, now, and both seem to do the job well. I do not have equipment to test a cable for performance. All I can say is that they sound good to me. No annoying hum or noticeable loss of frequency in live venues. They seem to be well-made, too. I also own two five-foot 1/4" Monster Studio Link cables that are very heavy duty, and I'm told they are excellent. They sound great. Are they better overall than the LiveWire Pro Dual Patch Cable? I'm sure they are, but I can't tell much difference in live sound applications. The bottom line is that these cables are inexpensive, well-made (for the cost), have acceptable sound for me, and they probably will be acceptable for you, as well. If you are into high fidelity studio work, perhaps spending extra for Monster cables is the better solution. For everyday applications, the LiveWire Pro Dual Patch Cables have not been a disappointment at all.

Good standard cable for everyday applications. Probably not a high-end solution for the studio, but certainly good quality for the money.
Good quality for the money. An inexpensive option for a variety of needs.

Comments about Livewire 1/4" - 1/4" Pro Dual Patch Cable:

My pedal steel has a volume pedal that I connect directly to a Peavey NV112 using the in/out circuit. I got tired of the tangled pile of cables that I was using and looked for a relatively short double 1/4" cable. This one fit the bill and works fine. Problem solved.

          Convienient!

          By Thunda

          from Tennesse, Baby!

Comments about Livewire 1/4" - 1/4" Pro Dual Patch Cable:

Overall, for my needs (patching between mixer, EQ, Deltafex, power amp) this is an excellent product. Just what I was looking for. Apparent solid construction. Easy to find in the cable box. Easy to hook up.
I was tired of digging through the cable box. Found these. A pair of 1/4" patch cables with quality ends, paired, and hard to tangle. Marked Red and Black to make routing easier. Bouthe a 3 and a 6 footer. Never looked back.
Have only used them for about 6 monts, but have given no problems so far. Time will tell. They don't feel or look cheap, do not have Switchcraft plugs, but the ones installed seem to be durable.
The price is definitely right! Overall, for the convience factor (non kinking, paired cable, colorcoded ends), a great value!

          Not for gigging.

          By Paul

          from Kansas City, MO

Comments about Livewire 1/4" - 1/4" Pro Dual Patch Cable:

Bought a couple pairs of these for running my keyboards to a mixer to combine my boards to one source. I play 2-3 gigs a week and these died after about 3 months. Signal was good, but buy them for use at home only. Not dependable for the road or heavy gigging.
