Overview

Line 6's FBV Express MKII Guitar Footswitch offers all the classic advantages you expect from a Line 6 foot controller, including rock-solid channel switches, a rugged wah/volume pedal and a chromatic tuner display but it's also full of surprises. The steel footswitches are built for constant stomping. They make it easy to store and select four channel presets, to synchronize time-based effects with Tap Tempo, and to activate the chromatic tuner. The burly, full-sized volume/wah pedal feels solid under your foot and features plenty of grip. Clicking the toe switch toggles between volume and wah control.

FBV Express MKII footswitch connects to your Line 6 amp or POD effect processor via the included locking RJ-45 cable. Perfectly paired with Spider IV and Spider Valve MKII guitar amplifiers, the FBV footswitch provides complete, handsfree control of the looper, pitch-shifter and other on-board amplifier effects.

Features
  • Hands-free channel switching and more for your Line 6 amp and POD
  • Footswitches and chassis are constructed of reliable steel
  • 4 channel switches: A, B, C and D
  • Chromatic tuner display
  • Volume/wah pedal is burly, full-sized and features plenty of grip

This footcontoller is very decent. The channel switching is very easy and works well. The tuner is great for on stage tuning. The included cable is very long and if you want there is an extension cable you can buy. It is stong metal except the bottom which is plastic but that is fine. The volume pedal i like and the wah is fun and great too. Alot of reviews said that the wah was weak but this is my first one so... I use it with a line 6 spider IV amp and it is satisfactory. I like how you canconnect it to your computational machine as well. I plan on getting a line 6 lowdown ld300 too that works with this pedal because bass is my first love.

I do not own a line 6 amp and use this product strictly as a midi controller. I play keyboards and use a laptop, 2 midi boards, and this foot controller. I like it because it is small, light, and has all the functions I need. I dislike that it is make of plastic and can be easily broken. Setup was really easy, the line 6 software makes it easy to change a cc# switch buttons from toggle to momentary, adjust max/min values, etc... It has always worked reliably for me... when it is not broken. Was recently backstage getting ready for a show, went to plug it in and it did not turn on. Discovered the plastic piece in the middle of the usb jack had broken off. I had to quickly change up several patches and limped through the show without it. Since I cannot find a more durable midi controller with the same features and size I bought a new one and this time went for the 2 year protection coverage so that when it breaks again (which I am certain it will), I can take it to GC and get a new one. I also hard wired a usb cord to the broken jack on the old one so that next time I discover it is broken right before a show I will have a backup with me ready to go.

Works perfectly for my Pod HD.

Comments about Line 6 FBV Express MKII Guitar Footswitch:

It's smaller than the big one, it's easier to carry around, and it's easy to use. You can only use it for 4 patches within one bank. So bank 4 - A,B,C,D. Otherwise you have to go to your Pod and switch banks on the unit. I use this for practice and the Shortboard Mk II live. It's great!

Nice Foot Switch

By

from Tucson, AZ

Comments about Line 6 FBV Express MKII Guitar Footswitch:

The FBV does it's job perfectly. My only regret is not spending $100 more and getting the FBV Shortboard MKII Guitar to have better effects control. I did not think that I would use too many effects, but after I got my Spider IV 150, I am really getting in to them. You can have effects set to the different channels but it makes to much noise when switchng channels even if all the settings are the same outside of the effects. It's a solid foot pedal none the less.

Bought it for Guitar Rig!!

By

from Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico

Comments about Line 6 FBV Express MKII Guitar Footswitch:

I don̴t have any other Line 6 product to control with this, I̴m a computer musician and I had bought this footswitch for its USB MIDI controller. It works awesome to control Guitar Rig 4 Pro. You just need to download its driver that comes with its configuration software, connect it, choose which midi CC are you gonna use with each switch and its parameters, saves that information on the fly on the hardware, close it and run your favorite software to control. Yes, It have a lot of plastics, but it seems resistant to me, it is OK for the price. The expression pedal is of good metal and rubber and it has good feeling and no weird noises that others commented. Here are my complaints of why not give it 5 stars: - Light: if you don't have a good grip surface it my slip when pushing to hard the expression or some switch. - The expression switch to activate wah is hard (I wish some adjustment feature), you need to be stand up to push it properly with a little effort, but forget it if you're sitting.

Good controller for the price!

By

from Aurora, Ohio

Comments about Line 6 FBV Express MKII Guitar Footswitch:

I have had this controller for 2 days now and it works perfectly. Lightning quick switching from preset to preset. Goes into tuning mode, when stepping on a lit switch, with ease. The cord that connects to the amp, is quite long and should give a good distance, from where you have your amp set. The only bad thing I have to say is that, to switch from wah to volume (and back) you REALLY have to step toes forward with some force, to get it to change (there's a little button, under the front of the pedal, on the board itself, that clicks when you want to switch) If you want to connect to Line 6's Monkey feature, via your computer, you will need to purchase your own Ethernet cable. Otherwise, I highly recommend this controller. Great value!

Could be better... allot better...

By

from Swanton, MD

Comments about Line 6 FBV Express MKII Guitar Footswitch:

I bought this to go with my Spider IV 75 watt amp I just bought and I think the pedal was a bit much This pedal ads no other special effects other than the Wah pedal. It's pretty much just an extention/controller for the amp itself, which I already knew at the time of purchase. The pedal just switches between the 4 presets you have programmed into your amp. It has a tuner but that, too, is built into the amp. Volume control (also built in the amp, duh) and of course, the Wah. So I think the price for this thing is overkill, considering all it is, is 4 buttons on the floor. It has a tuner, but it's too touchy for my tastes. I found it difficult to get my guitar tuned exactly on the green. Maybe I just need new strings. Now, about the Wah pedal. It's cheaply made. When using the Wah, the pedal squeaks. LOUD. Something isn't lubed up right. Maybe something is loose. I don't know, but it squeaks louder than the amp itself and is very annoying. It seems like the whole pedal is cheaply made and I don't like it. The 4 buttons: As you know, there are 4 buttons for the presets on the amp. Two of them work fine, but the two across the top can be tricky. If you're not careful, when hitting one of the top two pedals, you will accidentally step on one on the bottom, too. Maybe I'm complaining too much, but I just don't like this thing. The Wah pedal squeaks and needs repaired (I just bought it 2 days ago), lots of plastic parts, seems cheaply made and the tuner is finicky

Great pedal for the price

By

Comments about Line 6 FBV Express MKII Guitar Footswitch:

I was looking for a footswitch to go along with my Line 6 Spider IV 120 amp. This thing rocks. Wah is decent. Im not too big into wah so this works great for me. Volume control is great. Pedal feels nice and sturdy. This thing looks like it can take a beating and still work great. The 4-switch controls are great. Awesome pedal for an amazing price! Cant be beat.
