The Gretsch G5420T Electromatic Classic hollowbody electric guitar blends vintage hollowbody sound with modern appointments for essential Gretsch style. Crafted with a laminated maple body and trestle block bracing, it reduces unwanted feedback while producing a focused attack and increased sustain. The G5420T features FT-5E Filter'Tron humbucking pickups for that classic, full-bodied Gretsch punch and chime. With a comfortable C-shaped maple neck and 12" radius laurel fingerboard, you'll find smooth playability. The versatile control layout provides master volume with treble bleed circuit, individual pickup volumes and a 3-way toggle switch for a variety of tones. Trestle Block Bracing for Focused Attack and Sustain

The G5420T has a laminated maple hollowbody with trestle block bracing, which increases rigidity between the top and back. This not only helps reduce unwanted feedback on stage, but also results in your tone having a tighter attack and improved note separation, with more snap and enhanced sustain. The trestle block bracing allows the G5420T to sing with resonance while promoting the clarity and presence essential for live performance.

Classic Gretsch Punch and Chime With FT-5E Filter'Tron Pickups

A pair of FT-5E Filter'Tron humbucking pickups provide the G5420T's traditional Gretsch sound. The bridge pickup delivers sparkling treble and tight lows for that signature punch and twang. The neck pickup warms up the midrange for smooth rhythm playing. Blending the two produces the classic Gretsch chime, perfect for arpeggiated chords. The pickups capture the G5420T's full tonal range and resonance for essential Gretsch tone.

Comfortable Playability With Maple Neck and Laurel Fingerboard

The G5420T features a comfortable C-shaped maple neck joined to the body at the 16th fret. It has a smooth 12" radius laurel fingerboard for bend-friendly playing. Laurel also helps brighten the tone. The slim neck profile with medium jumbo frets makes it easy to play fast riffs or intricate chords. Whether you're comping rhythms or soloing, you'll find the G5420T comfortable and playable for hours.

Versatile Controls With Master Volume and 3-Way Toggle Switch

An upgraded control layout gives you versatility. Individual volume knobs for each pickup let you blend their output, while a master volume with treble bleed retains clarity at lower levels. The 3-way toggle selects bridge, both or neck pickups for everything from sparkling cleans to thick distortion. Shape your tone further with the master tone control. The control knobs are conveniently placed for quick adjustments while performing.

Gretsch's Instrument Limited Lifetime Warranty FMIC warrants your Gretsch brand instrument to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for as long as it is owned by the original retail purchaser, except that pickups, switches, jacks, controls, all other electronic components, tuning machines, hardware, pickguards, plated surfaces, gig bags, cases and case hardware are warranted for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. This warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser when this instrument is purchased from an Authorized Gretsch Dealer and is subject to the limitations set forth herein. IMPORTANT: PLEASE RETAIN YOUR ORIGINAL SALES RECEIPT, AS IT IS YOUR PROOF OF PURCHASE VALIDATING THIS LIMITED WARRANTY. FMIC has established a network of independent Authorized Service Centers for warranty service. The Gretsch Dealer from whom you purchased your instrument may also be authorized for warranty service and should be the first point of contact when service of any kind is required for your Gretsch instrument. To receive warranty service, return the complete instrument to an Authorized Service Center, with your sales receipt as proof of purchase, during the applicable warranty period. Defective components that qualify for coverage under this warranty will be repaired or replaced (at FMIC's discretion) without charge. Remedies beyond normal service repair of any Gretsch instrument require both an evaluation and confirmation of the defect and a direct recommendation to FMIC from an Authorized Service Center for alternative considerations. All transportation, insurance and freight charges associated with warranty service and repairs on Gretsch instruments are the responsibility of the purchaser, as is any service initiated for the purpose of customizing setups or adjustments beyond factory specifications. Initial standard setup and adjustment of the instrument and its components at the time of purchase are considered normal Dealer product preparation, and are not covered by this warranty.
