Comments about Fred Kelly Picks Poly Freedom Finger Guitar Picks:

I just started playing the classical guitar and found these finger picks online and thought I give them a try. I really liked them a lot. They fit nicely on my fingers and stay put. Easy to put on and use. I will buy more when the one's I purchase wear out.

Comments about Fred Kelly Picks Poly Freedom Finger Guitar Picks:

This is the best pick for playing Seeger style banjo where you brush with your ring finger. Standard National-style metal picks have a tendency to get caught on the strings and come off, these don't. The fit is more comfortable and the sound is better for this style. Also fine for finger-style guitar. Five stars from this picker.

It depends on the person, but they fit well, and the tone is good. Best used with a thumb pick for even tone.

By far, the best solution I have found

Comments about Fred Kelly Picks Poly Freedom Finger Guitar Picks:

My fingernails are no longer up to the task of playing guitar after developing onycholysis (separation from the nail bed)caused by "trauma from excessive manicuring", according to doctors. Until they fully recover, I must keep my own nails too short to pick guitar strings. I have tried MANY fingerpick options. The Fred Kelly picks are the best I have found. They have the feel of playing with your own nails, without adding bulk to your fingers. You can even mold them a little bit for a more custom fit by soaking them in hot water for a minute.

Praise Jesus on a banjo !!!!

        By Steve Cobb

Comments about Fred Kelly Picks Poly Freedom Finger Guitar Picks:

I have been finger picking for 22 years. I had always used my fingernails being classically trained, never even considered finger picks. About 4 years ago I lost my index fingernail on my right hand and tried all the stuff the doctors gave me, fake glue on nails, acrylic build up and nothing worked. All the finger picks I had ever seen made me think, learn to finger pick the guitar over again. As crazy as it may sound I was becoming depressed it was like having brain damage, like playing with the D and G string removed. I stumbled across these F.K. picks online and said what do I have to lose. This pick did the trick. I had to remove a little of the ears sticking out of the back to get the flex right but that was easily done with some fingernail clippers and a file. this pick feels natural and grabs the sting like my nail would. I am very pleased with this product. The Alaskan picks are not even in the same ballpark I ordered them the same day i ordered the F.K. pick, some kid will be getting the Alaskan picks in their trick or treat bag, heavy on the trick. The only down side to the F.K. pick is there is a little nose on the string every now and then this may be just me getting back into the swing of things but it is not a show stopper. I would call this a prosthetic fingernail, regardless of how it looks it has a very natural fingernail action.
