  • NICE LITTLE PACKAGE

As reviewed by EV on 6/29/2010

Nice combo. I was looking for a bit of power and punch, since I play with two guitar players with a LOUD drummer. Some combo equipment just can't hold up that type of band. On the pic, the Fender looks tiny and it is not, it is not huge either but it is heavy. Tilt back feautre is nice option. I have a cheap Ibanez bass guitar and it sounds really good with this amp. Love it!

  • Best Under $300

As reviewed by Stephen on 12/27/2010

I was in the market for a new bass amp to treat myself for the holidays. My price limit was $300 & I spent hours demoing all of the bass amps GC had for this price. I tried the Ampeg BA 112 and 115, Acoustic B100 and 260 mini stack, and this Fender Rumble 75. I didn't go with the Ampeg's because the 112 and 115 make an annoying pop noise every time I turned them on, plus the tweeter on the 115 is awful. It's noisy to the point of rendering the amp useless. The 112 was better sounding, but still had an annoying hum and it's too quiet at only 50 watts. The Acoustic B100 sounded horrible to me, no boom in the bass, just tinny mids and treble. Avoid at all costs. The 260 mini stack is much better but if you pump it up past 60% volume the amp sounds like it's farting at you. The Rumble 75 is definitely the best of the amps I heard. Sounds fantastic, lots of boom in the bass with clear mids and highs. The headphone jack is quiet and has a clean line-in for ipods, making it perfect for bedroom practice. Plus you can turn it up loud with little loss in audio fidelity, unlike the Acoustic mini stack which falls apart. If your budget is $300 and you need an amp for bedroom use and jam sessions, this is it.

  • Awesome Amp

As reviewed by Ryan Krebbs on 3/1/2011

Don't let the 75 watt's fool you, I'm playing in a band and the guitarists have 300 and 400 watt amps, and this thing keeps up very nicley, When I play just by myself in my room, if i set the dial to 5 it will make the pictures on the wall shake. This is a very high quality amp made by one very reliable company. The bass amp looks very nice, it is very light for it's size, when I saw it in the store I thought it was going to weigh arround 100 pounds, but it is so light that i can easily bring it up and down two flights of stairs in my house with ease. I highly recomend this to any bass player that is starting off or playing small shows.
