See what Slash, Jimmy Page, and Eric Clapton are raving about.

Ernie Ball Coated Slinky electric guitar strings combine the latest technological advancements in string manufacturing. All wound strings are treated with a micro-thin layer of enamel that prevents decay and corrosion up to five times more than uncoated sets. In addition to treating the wound strings, each plain string features a rust-resistant plating along with a patented reinforcement winding of titanium wire. Titanium's inherent strength prevents string breakage, string slippage, and is proven to keep your guitar strings in tune better than conventional plain strings. Ernie Ball Coated Slinky guitar strings maintain the feel and sound of uncoated sets, combining the added protection with the vibrant tone Ernie Ball musicians have relied on for over 50 years.

All Ernie Ball strings are precision manufactured to the highest standards and the most exacting specs to assure consistency, optimum performance, and long life.

Ernie Ball is a pioneer of rock and roll guitar strings. Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Steve Vai, and Slash are among the long list of Slinky players.

Ernie ball never seems to stop. I have always used super slinky but when these came i out i though Wow i didnt think they could get better but they did. They have a much longer sustain than the uncoated super slinkys. Their just great strings

  • Ernie Ball Super Slinks: Coated

As reviewed by Jarrod Turner on 7/21/2010

Really like these strings. They stand out above the other coated brands I've tried. They're really smooth to play, they bend really well and there tone is consistent.

  • Clearly superior

As reviewed by EP on 2/11/2011

I've used the regular uncoated/non-titanium slinkys for what seems like forever. When I change strings, no matter how much care I put into them, the top three strings (the e, B, G strings) always seem to lose their nickel coating in about a week's time. I bought a pack of these titanium coated versions on a whim at my local GC. They are vastly superior to the normal slinkys at resisting dirt/oil/sweat. I've had my coated titanium pair for about 3 weeks now, and they're still shiny. I don't think I'll buy the normal slinkys ever again.
