Comments about Engl Invader 150W Guitar Amp Head:
upon seeing this jem at a local guitar center i instantly had to play it. Engl are known for their clarity in their distortion channels and the invader takes the cake for clarity. the Invader is Savage and takes no prisoners when it comes to saturation and the amount of girth you want in your tone. the Clean channel is crystal like and very smooth like water. when you engage the bright switch on the clean channel it brightens up the mids and the trebel giving a warm and bright boutique clean sound. the crunch channel can give an Ac/Dc sound or any kind of rock tone and the Hi Gain button when used on this channel can be a nice Rhythm tone live. Channel 3 is the Brutal channel. this is where the InVader starts to show its magic. When the Hi Gain button is off its a dry rhythm channel or a dry lead channel. if you turn the Hi Button on it turns into the Beast its Known for. Very low bottom end, crystal clear gain, perfect balanced mids. its what a guitarist wants in a very saturated tone. if you're a guy who loves The Black Dahlia Murder or loves Death Metal or just a guy looking to step up in the amp world the invader is for you. not does it have a Unique sound to it. it also challenges you to play better. im a very proud owner of this amp and would Highly recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade their tone. Just remember that EVERY Engl you play is going to have clarity and defined articulation.
