  • A little late

As reviewed by Evan Bradner on 12/21/2010

Ive had this piece for about 6 months or so and forgot to write a review. Its a great pedal, especially for its price. I would consider it a 400 dollar pedal. The dual chain has a quick response, and there are spikes on the sides of each pedal that twists into the ground for the pedals not to move when playing. The added tuning key is nice too. All the features are adjustable. The only problem I really have with it is if Im doing some kind of blast beats or 32nd notes on it, the screws holding the pedals together become loose and sometimes fall. But, great pedal. Id buy it again!

  • PERFECT pedal for beginners.

As reviewed by Matt Mansour on 12/21/2012

I came home from school today, and, to my delight, found this waiting on my porch. I was exited, and put them together right away. I've had them only a few hours, but they went above and beyond my expectations. Everyone complains that they're heavy, but i think they feel great, and i can get some speed going. These are my first pedals, and i dont even have my first set yet. It's still shipping, and i cant WAIT to get behind them, especially now that i know how GREAT these pedals are. All in all, if you're a beginner looking for a pedal, take it from another beginner; these pedals are one of the best, if not THE best, choices. Definately recomend. Happy rocking guys \m/

  • Amazing features and results, but ... Heavy Beaters... ?

As reviewed by SavesTheFail182 on 12/26/2010

I just got this pedal today and I gotta say it's a really nice pedal. It's fast, smooth , responsive, and a very solid pedal. It has a great amount of good adjustments and features. Underneath both pedals are solid plates, spurs, and velcro to make that the pedasl don't go anywhere while you're playing, it also makes it more sturdy and solid. Some convienient features of these pedals are that under the master pedalboard, there is a clamp holding a drum key, so there is a safe place to keep the drum key and know where it is all the time. DW also includes a small plastic bag which contains 3 Hex Keys (for adjustments) and a small Rubber Guard to protect your bass drum hoop from the toe clamp of the pedal. The results of the pedal are good. It's smooth and responsive. HOWEVER, I feel that something is dragging it back a little bit. I tried adjusting the spring tension, how far the beater is to the head, everything. But, then I thought about beater WEIGHT. Turns out, that was the problem. The beaters are great, I love the reversable idea to change the sound very quickly. However, the beaters are a little too heavy. I've been thinking about purchasing DW's HardCore Beaters in the future. Other than that, it was a great pedal. Great buy. Highly recommended.
