Great Strings for All Styles!

By Fooeypuss

from Denver, CO

Comments about D'Addario EXL115W Nickel Blues/Jazz Wound 3rd Electric Guitar Strings:

The D'Addario EXL115W Nickel Blues/Jazz Wound 3rd Electric Guitar Strings have to be the best all around electric string, period! You can easily go from Bending Blues to Mellow Jazz without skipping a beat. Great to bring out the full sound of your TELE, the woulnd 3rd really beefs up inside chords, stays in tune longer, and is better intoned. The only thing that could be better is if they sold these in 3 & 10-packs! They make you want to play more!

Best Strings Ever

By mcpugsta

from Austin, TX

Comments about D'Addario EXL115W Nickel Blues/Jazz Wound 3rd Electric Guitar Strings:

I switched to these after I got tired of the Fender strings breaking on my Strat. I decided to step up to the 11s and they have the greatest sound ever. They never break on me and I can bend all I want. These are much better than the more expensive Chromes.

Excellent strings

By Les Kerr

from Nashville, TN

Comments about D'Addario EXL115W Nickel Blues/Jazz Wound 3rd Electric Guitar Strings:

I have my ES 335 set up perfectly for these strings. After playing acoustic for many years, when I got the 335 in 1996, I still wanted a wound 3rd. These do the trick!

Excellent

By Dan

from Medford, NJ

Comments about D'Addario EXL115W Nickel Blues/Jazz Wound 3rd Electric Guitar Strings:

I just switched over to .11 not too long ago and these were the strings I used to change over. All I can say is WOW. These are excellent no matter what style you play. They feel great, too. The wound 3rd feels so much more natural on your fingers. After I got them I recommended them to all of my friends. I'll never go back

Very versatile strings

By Roger L. Miller

from Enid, OJ

Comments about D'Addario EXL115W Nickel Blues/Jazz Wound 3rd Electric Guitar Strings:

I've used these strings exclusively for the past 4 years. I play jazz, blues, & classic rock in a small combo and old standards in a large stage band. I have a Gibson solid body and a semi-hollow body and these strings work very well for me on both guitars and in both groups. I insist on a wound 3rd string no matter what type of music I play. These strings also last a long time without losing their tone/brightness. For all around medium gauge, low cost strings, I haven't been able to find any better product than the D'Addario EXL115W.

Very happy with these strings

Comments about D'Addario EXL115W Nickel Blues/Jazz Wound 3rd Electric Guitar Strings:

I previously had 10's on my Ibanez AS-93 Semi Hollow body, the EXL115W's are really working well. I like the wound G and the thicker bass strings, after a few weeks they have proven to stay in tune better than the 10's and I am liking the tone as it is noticeably a bit fatter. I am typically doing only half step bends and these are great for that. I believe I will stay with these and maybe even put a set on another guitar used for blues and slide.

These strings are balanced and consistently provide long-lasting tone. A bought a 10-pack and have had no issues at all with any of the strings. I recommend these to anyone who likes to dig in and play dynamically.

        Wound G Strings Rule

        By Howard

        from undisclosed

        Verified Buyer

Comments about EXL115W Nickel Blues/Jazz Wound 3rd Electric Guitar Strings:

Since no local music stores starting with Guitar Center carry these strings that I've used for quite a while, I ordered them online from GC and picked them up just mere days later. The wound G string gives me better intonation up and down the fretboard. If I'm in a hurry and out of "spares" I'll pick up the same series of D'Addario strings a gauge higher, which strangely enough seem to always be in stock, even though they're heavier.

          Tone heaven

          By Tim Kanter

          from WI

Comments about D'Addario EXL115W Nickel Blues/Jazz Wound 3rd Electric Guitar Strings:

You want the best tone out of your guitar? Of course you do! Get these strings! I currently have them on my Tele, and they go great with single coils. The beefiness of the .11's and the wounded 3rd make it the best set of strings on single coils ever. I have not tried them on humbuckers, or p90s, etc. So I can not vouch for those type of guitars, give them a try, at least do it for your personal knowledge.

          Warm Tone

          By Jeremy Wright

          from Memphis, TN

Comments about D'Addario EXL115W Nickel Blues/Jazz Wound 3rd Electric Guitar Strings:

If you really want to capture a warm tone from your guitar, these strings are the best to get the job done. These strings require minimal need for stretching and provide a full sound for chords.
