A great starter amp for beginners trying to find their sound or for any player looking to get more practice time in.
The After Eight bass practice amp combines a 20 watt power section with a single 8" Ashdown 'Blueline' speaker cased within an oversized heavy duty cabinet for a practice amp with real bass.
Tones can be shaped quickly and intuitively using bass, middle and treble controls and extra low end can be added using the pre-shaped 'deep' switch. A headphone output is provided for silent practice. A CD/Line input let's you jam along with your favorite tracks.
Ashdown has also added new features for the aspiring bass players out there, including a new tube-emulated ‘Gain’ drive. This adds overdrive, as a tube amp would when adding gain, from slight grit to full on overdrive.
In conjunction with the ‘Gain’ control Ashdown has provided a ‘Master’ control, which controls the master output of the amp much like with a tube amp you can set your gain and overall output accordingly.
