Overview

The Ampeg SVT-410HLF Enclosure gives you plenty of volume and clean low end. This 4x10" cabinet has the same speakers and 1" horn as the SVT-410HE with 2" coils and 30 oz. magnets, but the cabinet itself is tuned differently. It's deeper and has a bottom port that results in better low-end response, down to 28Hz!

The cabinet features heavy duty recessed handles, an industrial strength grip bar, and heavy duty rear wheels. Skid rails are placed on the back of the enclosure to protect it while loading in and out of venues.

The Speakon and 1/4" jacks are wired in parallel, allowing easy daisy chaining from one speaker to another. Each of the jacks may be used as an input or a through connection.

Features
  • Ultra-low frequency response for bottom end that never ends
  • Rear wheels and recessed handles make transport easier
  • Skid rails for increased durability

Warranty
MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY
On May 1st, 2009, the Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg websites will be updated with the addition of warranty URLs (e.g. www.mackie.com/warranty) expressing new A Stock warranty terms. These warranty URLs will go live on May 1st, 2009. Formerly, warranty periods for these LOUD brands appeared in a variety of locations – in product manuals (for Mackie and TAPCO) and on warranty cards and hang tags (for Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg). In order to streamline and clarify this process, Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg warranty periods and terms will be communicated in full on the warranty pages. Any LOUD products purchased prior to May 1st will bear with them the manufacturer’s warranty as predates the new policy. Moving through this transition, in order for customers to obtain warranty service, both the sales receipt and a physical copy of the (older) warranty statement will be required by our Service and Support departments in order to issue Service Requests, etc. If the product was purchased on or after May 1st, 2009, but a physical copy of the older warranty terms is not presented, the new warranty terms and periods will apply. Meanwhile, the products that bear with them the new warranty periods (as reflected in the box contents of each product) are being tracked by serial #, and contain new warranty content referring customers to the appropriate brand website. The information below reflects the product warranty periods that will be effective on May 1st, 2009 for the Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg brands: Mackie: A 3-year, nontransferable, inclusive warranty on electronics and a 2-year, nontransferable, inclusive warranty on drivers (where applicable) apply to loudspeakers (active and passive), power amps, powered mixers, and HR studio monitors. Specific models under this warranty include all SRM, HD, SA, C and S Series Speakers, all FRS Amplifiers, all HRmk2 Studio Monitors. A 1-year, all inclusive, nontransferable warranty applies to all mixers, MR Studio Monitors, Control Surfaces, Processors (digital), MR Studio Monitors, Control Surfaces, Audio/MIDI Interfaces, other SR & Recording Products. This is the best 4x10 on the market. Its a little bigger than most but that is because of the 3 ports that alow this monster to push out the low lows. It is the essence of full range. It goes as low as a 15incher and hits the highs with clarity and sizzle. I've owned it for 9 months at the time of this review and have used it in various gigs and I'm still impressed with it. For a bass cab it has all the nessary features. It has two 1/4 inputs and two speakon inputs for connecting to the amp and adding an additional cab. It has a tweeter control knob to boost or cut the tweeter for more controle of your tone. It has wheels for transport and a bar that doubles as a towl rack when not transporting. Its 4ohm so it sucks a higher output of watts from your amp. It not only sounds great but it looks great as well. Its quite heavy at 110lbs. It has two big wheels and a bar in the back that helps with transport. I can lift it myself but if you're a little week in the knees and back you better have someone around to help you get it in and out of your vehical. All and all this is a great cab. I have owned the top of the line cabs from SWR and Eden and I've settled down with this beast becasue its the best. If anything were to happen to it I'd replace it with the same thing.

I bought this cab in August of 2013. After the 30 day return period, I had the opportunity to use another of the same cab and found that my cab had bad speakers. They sounded bad at medium power. The cab I compared to was much better. I brought the cab to an Ampeg authorized service center. It has been 4 weeks now and Ampeg still hasn't supplied replacement speakers. I have since bought a Seismic Audio 1x15 and 2x10 cab combo and drive it with a Hartke 3500. The two were half the price of the SVT410-HLF and sound twice as good. When I get the SVT410-HLF back, I'm selling it immediately. I'm done with Ampeg...

The best 410 bass cab ever

By RUBEN LOPEZ

from Charlotte, NC

I'm a big big fan of AMPEG,my first cab was the legendary and back breaking 810E,from there i went with a GK-410,115 neo series rig (powerfull but a little muddy) and i have to say without a doubt the SVT-410HLF is by far the best cab i have own so far. loud, punchy, warm, and yet the clarity of the tone is just great., i think is safe to say that is way better than the 810E i run it tru a GK-1001RBII and my highs and mids are unbelievable not to mention the LOWS.my bandmates love it.. thinking of getting the svt610 but im not sure i wannna let this baby go just yet, i found my at the local GC store used and for less than $300,( yeah thats right less than $300)all it needed it was a litle cleaning with armorall. i have to say i never expected this cab to have this quality of sound , highly recomend this cab to everyone. Thumbs up AMPEG!!!

Tone and response is everything

By ken talley

from Buena Vista, VA

Yhis cabinet is tight. It has, by far, the low, mid and high end all together. Tone is reproduced as quickly as I can crank it out. Every sound from a low B rumble to a mid or high trill in 32nds. This cab is more than awesome and worth every thing I paid. GC went out of their way to get me priced competitively.

kronic bass

By kimbo

from cave junction OR

powered by SVT classic head, this cab give my American Fender J V solid lows down to sub. Great for the Jawaiian stlye basslines. Horn is a bit blaring ,but ok on low setting. When playing jam band stlye on my fretless P bass i prefer to hook into my dual classic 15's. Thanks Ampeg for thinking of us 5-string players=B string @ 30 hertz : )

Bullseye Bass Bottom

By Dan Wilk

from Detroit, MI

The Ampeg SVT-410HLF Classic is the best sounding bass bottom on the market at any price. Well designed, rugged and extremely reliable. You want that Ampeg sound? Run this cabinet and you will get it. I am powering the 410HLF with a 1980 Sunn Concert Bass power amp and it is the perfect set-up for big and small venues.

lemon cabinet

By Raul Questell

from san antonio tx 78259

Within the first month of used, the cabinet was excellent. Then I noticed that the vinil cover around the edges of the cabinet started to come off. About three months later during performance, the cabinet stopped working. Luckly was during the last set. I thought the problem was with my amp head, a Peavey 700 watts (fire bass amp), I sent the head to the shop for repair. The technician called me back and indicated there was nothing wrong with the head. Then I sent the cabinet to a technician covered by the warranty and the cabinet was repaired. The techincian also glue the vinil cover. Right now the vinil cover started to come off unglue again around the edges. I love the cabinet but I'm wondering what is going to go wrong next. I whish I could ge a new one and turn this one to the manufacturer. I think this is a lemon cabinet. thank you, raul

Thumping sound!

By D. Walden

from Tarpon Springs, Florida

This is the best sound you can get for your bass. I bought 2 assuming they would stack and they aren't made to. A simple removal of the 2 rubber feet on one of the cabinets and that was taken care of. If you want that deep professional second to none sound, pick yourself one or two of these cabinets. They are bullet proof. I am the kind of guy that only wants to have to purchase something once, not leaving myself wanting to upgrade. This cabinet is second to none.

Priceless!

By MW-1

from Rockwall, Texas

Every once in a great while a product is made that stands out amoung all others, both in price and performance. I can tell you with great certainty the Ampeg 410HLF bass cabs are nothing less than AWESOME! I run an Ampeg SVT4Pro head with two (2) of these cabs...yes two! There aren't enough hours in the day or days in the week to begin to tell you how powerful this setup is. There aren't enough pens, ink, or paper to write down how PERFECTLY matched my setup is. The two cabs together will move 20% more air than 4-18" woofers and 50% more air than 6-15" woofers. Any Questions? I didn't think so.

SVT is THE bass cab

By Rory

from Boston, MA

It is no accident that there are so many posts favoring the SVT-HLF. All of the descriptions given: "clear, clean, deep ,full-range, punch..." are spot on. I bought this cab, took it right to the gig and powered it with my Little MarkIII. My G&L NEVER sounded so FAT. Go buy this bass cab. You won't be sorry! The only slight draw-back has nothing to do with the sound. It is about the "towel rack": Suggestion to product development: Make the handles adjustable, just like the click-and-lock PA stands. Then we won't have to look like wing-men on a bob-sled team when we move it. 8>)
