The Ampeg SVT-410HLF Enclosure gives you plenty of volume and clean low end. This 4x10" cabinet has the same speakers and 1" horn as the SVT-410HE with 2" coils and 30 oz. magnets, but the cabinet itself is tuned differently. It's deeper and has a bottom port that results in better low-end response, down to 28Hz!
The cabinet features heavy duty recessed handles, an industrial strength grip bar, and heavy duty rear wheels. Skid rails are placed on the back of the enclosure to protect it while loading in and out of venues.
The Speakon and 1/4” jacks are wired in parallel, allowing easy daisy chaining from one speaker to another. Each of the jacks may be used as an input or a through connection.

On May 1st, 2009, the Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg websites will be updated with the addition of warranty URLs (e.g. www.mackie.com/warranty) expressing new A Stock warranty terms. These warranty URLs will go live on May 1st, 2009. Formerly, warranty periods for these LOUD brands appeared in a variety of locations – in product manuals (for Mackie and TAPCO) and on warranty cards and hang tags (for Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg). In order to streamline and clarify this process, Mackie, TAPCO, Crate, Blackheart and Ampeg warranty periods and terms will be communicated in full on the warranty pages.
Any LOUD products purchased prior to May 1st will bear with them the manufacturer’s warranty as predates the new policy. Moving through this transition, in order for customers to obtain warranty service, both the sales receipt and a physical copy of the (older) warranty statement will be required by our Service and Support departments in order to issue Service Requests, etc. If the product was purchased on or after May 1st, 2009, but a physical copy of the older warranty terms is not presented, the new warranty terms and periods will apply. Meanwhile, the products that bear with them the new warranty periods (as reflected in the box contents of each product) are being tracked by serial #, and contain new warranty content referring customers to the appropriate brand website.

Specific models under this warranty include all SRM, HD, SA, C and S Series Speakers, all FRS Amplifiers, all HRmk2 Studio Monitors.
A 1-year, all inclusive, nontransferable warranty applies to all mixers, MR Studio Monitors, Control Surfaces, Processors (digital), MR Studio Monitors, Control Surfaces, Audio/MIDI Interfaces, other SR & Recording Products. Specific product models under this warranty include all Onyx Compact, 4-bus and 8-bus, all VLZ3, all PPM, all ProFX, all CFXmk2 Mixers, all MR Studio Monitors, Big Knob, Onyx 800R, all MCU Pro family.

A 1-year, all inclusive, nontransferable warranty applies to all products and all models.

This is the best 4x10 on the market. Its a little bigger than most but that is because of the 3 ports that alow this monster to push out the low lows. It is the essence of full range. It goes as low as a 15incher and hits the highs with clarity and sizzle. I've owned it for 9 months at the time of this review and have used it in various gigs and I'm still impressed with it.
For a bass cab it has all the nessary features. It has two 1/4 inputs and two speakon inputs for connecting to the amp and adding an additional cab. It has a tweeter control knob to boost or cut the tweeter for more controle of your tone. It has wheels for transport and a bar that doubles as a towl rack when not transporting. Its 4ohm so it sucks a higher output of watts from your amp. It not only sounds great but it looks great as well.
Its quite heavy at 110lbs. It has two big wheels and a bar in the back that helps with transport. I can lift it myself but if you're a little week in the knees and back you better have someone around to help you get it in and out of your vehical.
All and all this is a great cab. I have owned the top of the line cabs from SWR and Eden and I've settled down with this beast becasue its the best. If anything were to happen to it I'd replace it with the same thing.
I have had a Fender, Hartke and various other 4x10s over the years and this one is hands down the best I've used. I ran it with an ampeg svt head and an SWR-SM900 head, The SM900 supplies 900 watts of power and as you can imagine this baby thundered, but never developed a fuzzing problem or ruined a speaker cone. The tone is unbeatable (if you like warmth,) especially when playing with a five string. The construction is extremely rugged and it's very easy to move around for its size due to the tilt back wheels and heavy duty handle bar on the back.
It is no accident that there are so many posts favoring the SVT-HLF. All of the descriptions given: "clear, clean, deep ,full-range, punch..." are spot on. I bought this cab, took it right to the gig and powered it with my Little MarkIII. My G&L NEVER sounded so FAT. Go buy this bass cab. You won't be sorry!
The only slight draw-back has nothing to do with the sound. It is about the "towel rack": Suggestion to product development: Make the handles adjustable, just like the click-and-lock PA stands. Then we won't have to look like wing-men on a bob-sled team when we move it. 8>)
