Hello all, There are several things I like about these sticks: They do not break like traditional wooden sticks; they do not leave a trail of saw dust on your kit floor; and, they have an original and attractive style to them. However, there are two negatives: First, the sticks feel heavier than a pair of wooden sticks of similar size when playing fast, but I got used to that. Second, the shafts of the sticks were a little warped when I received them from my online order. Specifically, when you roll them on a flat surface, you can see the wobble as the sticks roll. In the future, I will only purchase these sticks at the store locations, so I can check the precision of the sticks on site at purchase.

Not bad, but not what I expected

By Lee H

from Porter, TX

I bought these Tommy Lee concert series Ahead sticks because of the extra length. That part is great, but they are too heavy and so far Ahead doesn't make a 17" long stick that is lighter other than the Tommy Lee concert series. Ahead sticks, I recommend them for those who like heavier sticks, like the Vic Firth Rock series, but keep in mind nylon tips from any stick manufacturer will mark your cymbals, I'll stay with Vic Firth 5B extreme or 5A extreme, which are 16 1/2" long, so that's my expert opinion, or not, LOL!

I bought these sticks and they looked so cool and sound so good they have amazing rebound and are a lot easier and more durable than wooden sticks. Now that I got AHEAD sticks I can never go back.

Genuis!!!

By Jay Tresco

from La Harbra, CA

I love these sticks. I bit on the heavy side but that makes it better for snare drum rudiments. After a while youll get used to it and not want to use anything else. Plus they got a great color!

Best Rock/Metal Stick You Can Buy!!

By Mike

from Cleveland

I always wanted to buy a pair of AHEAD drumsticks. Hearing that they last long and all of that. I ended up buying these Tommy Lee sticks. These sticks ARE the best drumsticks I have and most likely ever will used. I play rock and metal (like Tommy Lee) and these sticks are more than perfect for me. Now sure you can buy 3 to 5 pairs of wood sticks but use your $30 on these. You can go wrong. They last much longer then traditional wood sticks and in my opinion, feel and play better too. Keep in mind that the covers or sleeves cannot be replaced like on some of the other AHEAD models. These are great sticks and I highly recommend adding them to your cart.

How To Get "AHEAD\

By Mississippi Kid

from Gibsonburg, Oh.

Are you tired of breaking sticks ? Are you fed up with having to choose between balance and strength ? Ahead has the answer. These sticks are molded in the fashion of one of rock's greatest drummers. The balance and length are great. The durable, replaceable tips and sleeves protect the sticks and your equipment. Light in weight, the sticks also absorb most of the impact, transfering very little shock to your hands and leaving them feeling less fatigued. This is one way to help you get "AHEAD".

Perfect Sticks

By tacvbo

from McAllen, TX

When I first started experimenting with sticks, I noticed that a big part of personal opinion on drumsticks comes from the length of the sticks. When I decided the longer the better for me, I had to try different 17 inch sticks to see which one I would like the most. After trying about 4 different pairs I decided on these sticks because of the great feel and good looks. I love the fact that only the tapers and tips are changed therefore making it less expensive in the long run.

These things rock!!

By Mr.Anderson5150

from Noblesville, IN

I love Tommy Lee, so when I saw these sticks, I said to myself, "Those will be mine." When I bought them, I realized that they were longer than normal sticks, I loved it because it made it easier for me to reach all my cymbals. Yes, they will get scratched up eventually but, hey, what sticks don't? People even told me they liked them. Point is, if you want to play better and look cool at the same time, BUY THESE STICKS!
