Zildjian GEN16 Acoustic-Electric Cymbal Crash Ride & Pickup System 18 in.

This 18" crash/ride cymbal is from Zildjian's new Gen16 cymbal series, created from a custom sheet metal alloy that combines with a complex network of holes in the cymbal for true cymbal feel and sound, with about an 80% reduction in volume. The cymbal sound is then captured with the included mic pickup and then processed and modeled with sounds and effects from the Gen16 Cymbal Controller (Sold separately H72378).

"The Acoustic Electric Cymbal is capable of creating a wide range of sounds, from that of a classic Zildjian cymbal to some very non-traditional sounds," explains Zildjian's VP of New Business & Product Development, John Roderick. "For drummers, it will have an inspirational impact akin to what the acoustic electric guitar has done for guitarists."
