When I applied this product to my K dark medium thin crash I was not pleased with the result. It took away a lot of the musicality of the cymbal, its dark rich complex tones. I noticed it seemed to add weight to the cymbal so I would have to strike the cymbal harder to make it wash out, also making it sound less chaotic and more like a cheaper cymbal with that tin-like sound. I was frankly dissapointed with this as I have never heard of this effect. I advise to never use polish and let the cymbal settle and wear naturally, it sounds and looks better that way.
this Zildjian Cymbal Cleaning Polish is the best i used it to clean my zbt crash and hi hats and zht zildjian cymbals and it left them like new so buy this cymbal cleaner you will regret buying this !!!
It works well, but if you have alot of grimy hand touches and such, It does take a decent amount to come off. I have 19 cymbals and counting. I used one bottle on 7 cymbals. So I need nearly 3 bottles to clean all of my cymbals! It does make them look like new though!!!
i use this cleaner on my 16' Briliant Sabian Xs20 Medium-Thin Crash. I got this crash brand new but for some reason it was covered in fingerprints and it was extremely noticible. I tried it on the bottom of the bell because its the last place anybody's gonna see anything messed up. it had some fingerprints there. I used it and, wow, it made it look better than the parts of the cymbal that werent covered in fingerprints. Seriously better than new. the only down side is that it takes off logos. i just clean around em'. other than that awesome. But seriously, only use on B20 Bronze cymbals (AAX, A Custom, A, 2000, HHX, K, K Custom, Z3, Z Custom, Vault, Paragon, HH, AA, Xs20, you get the point, not budget cymbals!) you could ruin the finish if you use this on budget cymbals. i'm not 100% sure, but i wouldn't try it on a B8 or an Alpha. Using it on a Zildjian budget cymbal wouldn't be bad though, it says it on the bottle. (ZBT, ZXT, ZHT)
This is a great cymbal polish overall. It gives it an awesome shine like new. However, if you're a sucker for the decals on the cymbals this ain't for you, it pretty much takes the logo right off, but the cymbals look awesome, its well worth it.
This stuff is too much of a hassle to clean cymbals with. Its a polish, and gets all over the place and doesnt allow an even cleaning around the cymbal. Like all cymbal cleaners, it will remove your logos, so be careful. I switched over to the Sabian spray because its not such a mess. These will clean your cymbals, but cause quite a mess.
The Zildjian Cymbal Cleaning Polish is an excellent product to shine up your cymbals to their original appearance. This product works best when thought of as a polish--I tend to clean my cymbals first with a heavy-duty cleaner like Groove Juice. Once the cymbals are dirt free, the polish will bring out their shine in a quick and easy application. Basically, you just rub it in and shine. Although it's made by Zildjian, it will work on any manufacturer's cymbals. It is best used on "brilliant" cymbals which are made to emphasize their shiny appearance.
I purchased this cleaner and at first I wasn't sure if it could get the grime off of my cymbals, but it proved me wrong! They look just like when I first bought them: shiny! I used this stuff on my A Customs, and they look sharp. Keep away from the logos though.
