For the first EFX cymbal in the K Series, Zildjian has combined the same die-cut pattern featured in its A Custom EFX cymbals with the darker tone and traditional look of the K cymbals. This cymbal has a thin weight and a crash-size bell, so the response, decay, and projection are good.
Its sound is a dark and explosive combination of trash and white noise.
Avedis Zildjian Company Warranty Statement
As of October 1, 2009, all Zildjian Cymbals are guaranteed against manufacturer's defects for two (2) years from the date of original purchase.

Warranty Process
Cymbals that show factory defects within two years of their original purchase are eligible for examination at our factory. Zildjian experts will evaluate the damage and issue a replacement cymbal, unless it appears the damage is related to improper use or care.
If you believe your cymbal has a factory defect:
1. Contact Zildjian to obtain a Return Authorization number (RA#), via telephone: 781-871-2200.
2. Indicate the location of the damage on the cymbal with a piece of tape.
3. Make a photocopy of your original numbered and dated sales receipt.
4. Carefully package your cymbal. Include your RA# and the photocopy of your sales receipt in the box.
5. Ship the package to:

A Cymbal will not be replaced if:
1. It has been misplayed, dropped, played with excessive force or treated abusively.
2. The center hole is worn due to improper stand set-up or abusive play.
3. The cymbal was bought second-hand or used in a lease program.
4. The cymbal has previously been replaced by Zildjian.
5. More than two years have passed since the cymbal was purchased.
Warranty Notes:
• Cost of shipping a damaged cymbal to Zildjian is the customers responsibility.
• Factory evaluations take approximately 4 - 6 weeks.
• Cymbals that do not meet the warranty guidelines will be returned to customer.
• Cost of shipping a replacement or damaged cymbal back to the customer will be covered by Zildjian.

This is one fantastic cymbal! I own the 18" and when I first played it, I fell in love and still am in love with it. It is an all around great cymbal! It has a fast decay, a dark trashy tone and cuts through great in the mix. Its great for riding on and could even replace a china. The holes in it look really good aesthetically and make this cymbal stand out from the rest. Overall, this is one beast of a cymbal.
the zildjian k efx cym. is great for the dark sound you what wth metal. I love that you can you any part of the cym. and it still sounds great. but the one thing i hate is that the stick may get stuck in the hole. but thats the only down side to it
A friend of mine has recently bought an 18" zildjian K EFX cymbal for his Slingerland drum set. I must say that it meshed well with his vintage new beat hi hats and a custom 15" crash cymbal. This is a bright, rich cymbal that offers a variety of accents to any kit. I highly recommend buying this cymbal!
