feels right!

By

from Oakland

Comments about Yamaha LP-7 Pedal Unit:

Definitely an improvement over the standard plastic sustatin pedal that comes with the DGX 640 which would keep walking away from me when I was playing. It was easy to attach.

Pedal board for 635 piano

By

from Enola, PA

Comments about Yamaha LP-7 Pedal Unit:

As a long-time piano player, I wanted the feel of a real piano so I ordered the pedals. One reviewer said that they look cheap and I must agree. It would also be more visually appealing if it would be available in the colors of the pianos (same with the benches). I notice that the response of the pedals is unpiano like. The sustain is OK, the loud and soft pedals have little effect. They take more effort than a piano to push down, but not the extreme effort that another reviewer mentioned. If I had to do it over again knowing what I know now, I probably would not have wasted the money.

pedal

Comments about Yamaha LP-7 Pedal Unit:

I like the pedal kit. only issues I have would be that I wish it looked more like the piano and that the pedals weren't plastic coated. Makes it look cheap.

Crazy stiff making it painful to play

By

from Colorado

Comments about Yamaha LP-7 Pedal Unit:

I had the YPG635 piano for our youth group band and really enjoyed it, minus the fact that we had to duck-tape the included sustain pedal to the floor. I bought another 635 for my mom and purchased the pedal board for a more piano feel. But the pedals are so stiff to push down that her foot hurts after a few minutes of play. I am very athletic and it is difficult for me to press through out a song. I do not recommend the product. Side note, guitar center does not carry this item in stores. Yet when I purchased the piano and pedal in the store I still had to pay for shipping. Lousy help in store, excess charge (in my opinion) and crummy product. This long time costumer has changed his tune/store.

The LP-7 Pedal on Yamaha YPG635

By

from Connecticut

Comments about Yamaha LP-7 Pedal Unit:

Well it looks very nice but here's the catch. The somewhat forward position on the stand does not allow full leg extention for best comfort. I am 5' 10". I find myself either having to push away from the keyboard or hold my leg in a less than comfortable spot. While the included sustain pedal can easily drift, it still allows your to stretch to a comfortable position. I am considering removing the LP-7 and putting back the good ole sustain pedal. The other two pedals on the the LP-7 don't lend much to my intermediate level of play. Hope this helps.
