Exquisite sounds, responsive touch, and understated beauty.

Guitar players, drummers, and vocalists wanting an affordable keyboard for your home studio with a good piano sound that doesn't take up much space-look no further. This gorgeous digital piano with 88 graded-hammer action keys and 64-note polyphony features stereo-sampled Advanced Wave Memory (AWM) tone generation for 14 exquisite instrument voices. You'll appreciate the real acoustic piano feel without the need to tune once a year. Two headphone jacks allow silent practice, or use the built-in speaker system so everyone can hear. MIDI in/out/thru and a to host jack allow connection to your computer and a two-track recorder lets you-for example-record two parts to back you up while you're playing a third live. Looks great in your home, thanks to a dark rosewood finish woodgrain cabinet with sliding key cover. Additional features include three footpedals, dual-voice mode, built-in power supply, metronome, LED panel, digital reverb, chorus and brilliance controls, transpose, 50 built-in songs with songbook, and a matching padded bench.

Great little piano for the money!!

I purchased this mainly so that I can use earphones, and practice at any time without disturbing others, unlike my 6'7" grand. The feel/touch on this Yamaha is amazingly close to a real piano, far better than any typical keyboard, and will not weaken your fingers. As a matter of fact, I can switch back to the acoustic piano, with no loss in strength or agility. p.s.--The Guitar Center Guys were Great!!Thanks!!

wicked instrument

Owned the Yamaha for about 18 months as it plays beautifully with simple controls and first class piano sound reproduction which is what this digital piano is all about. It is apparently the same as the higher priced "Clavinova" series and is sold under the straight Yamaha name for marketing reasons. Bought it to use in the UK where prices are much higher.
