Overview

Williams redefines affordable elegance with the best-in-class Symphony Grand digital piano. This micro-grand style, 88-key, graded hammer-action instrument offers realistic sound and feel, complemented by a luxurious ebony gloss finish. The newly designed keybed provides an authentic response and playability.

The Williams Custom Sound Library the Symphony Grand uses is designed around a wide collection of high-resolution instruments taken from a famed Italian grand piano, as well as vintage electric pianos and organs. There are a total of 174 voices, including 128 General MIDI sounds and 46 from Williams’ high-definition Custom Sound Library. The Symphony Grand also offers realistic piano effects, such as adjustable pedal noise, key noise and a sustain layer that reproduces sympathetic resonance; plus, the Mod/FX feature gives you authentic rotary effects on organs and vibrato on electric pianos. There are 120 Styles in various genres for realtime playback, along with intros, fills, variations and endings for interactive performance.

For education, the Song Tutor teaches the player various types of classical, rock, and blues songs. And for even more in-depth lessons, Williams has partnered with McCarthy Music for cloud-based piano education with a large online music library for every skill level.

Not only does the Symphony Grand support standard USB MIDI and Audio, but it also includes Bluetooth bi-directional MIDI connectivity computers and tablets — no need for costly cables and adapters. Just pair it with your MIDI supported device and you’re ready to go. Also includes a USB Host port that plays MIDI files from a USB thumb-drive. Additional features include split/layer, transpose, two-track recorder, metronome, headphone and stereo out jacks.

Includes a stylish matching piano bench.

The Pro Service on this brand does not get you a repair. It allows you to take back to store and get a refund during the pro service contract period. It really does sound amazing. Good to excellent sound. Unit looks very rich.

This is the third Williams Symphony Grand piano we attempted to buy. The first one had a key that was sticking. We returned it and got a new one. When we arrived home and opened the box we discovered that a bracket was broken off the wooden rim, and that the rim was damaged as a result. We returned that piano too, and the Guitar Center staff feeling bad about our experience scheduled to have a new one delivered to our home address, without charging extra for home delivery. More quality problems with this one. The piano keys are not evenly spaced; there are a couple of large gaps between certain keys (see picture). We would be willing to ignore this cosmetic defect, but then we discovered that the sound is not very well balanced, and one of the keys (E; watch the attached video) sounds louder than the adjacent ones during play. Furthermore, the speakers buzz when playing low notes (the low A and the low D; watch the second video). So this third piano is also going back to the store, and we are not getting another Williams. We are so disappointed with the poor quality of this brand. We so much wanted to have this piano, because of its nice appearance and nice interface, even though there were other pianos that had better performance (at least on paper), such as the Casio Previa, and were also cheaper. Too bad it didn't work out.

Save yourself the frustration and do not buy this junk. Should not even be sold. Now I have to take apart, box back up, and replace with a good Yamaha after my daughter used for 2hrs in 24hrs.
Screen and half the keys stopped working day after brought home.

Recently, we purchased the very affordable Williams Symphony Grand Digital Piano for our church. Not only was it a very elegant addition to our sanctuary, but the tone quality is very rich and beautiful, providing an excellent musical experience for our congregation. We are delighted with all the voices and options this instrument provides. The key touch sensitivity could be improved upon, but is still quite manageable. Overall, the Williams Symphony Grand Digital Piano serves our purposes exceptionally well and has found a home with us for many years to come.

Comments about Williams Symphony Grand Digital Piano with Bench:

We are older folks who purchased this instrument to "re-learn" our long-unused piano skills. Keys and pedals have a nice and natural feel and sounds are pretty good. The headphone jack is particularly nice (parents of novice musicians know what I'm talking about). The instrument is visually appealing as well. My sole criticisms are that the keys require a firmer touch than an acoustic piano which makes delicate passages difficult (although enforces good technique) and the sustain cuts out abruptly once a falling below a certain volume threshold.

I like everything about this piano. It looks good. The sound isn't what i expected, but that's okay. The pedals don't work like a regular piano. The soft pedal doesn't soften the note like it should and the sustaining pedal doesn't doesn't sustain the chords like it should, but I'm still happy about the piano. Great price for very nice looking pedal. I can and will get use to the overall sound and pedals.
