Pure British Power
Words fail to describe the legendary VOX ac30. But I'll see if I can pull it off. This thing is perfect for shows, gigs, performances, etc. Not too sure about practicing on your own because it is really loud. It's pumped with major tone, every guitar would want to be plugged into this amp. Sounds amazing with any kind of guitar single coil or humbucker, you name it. It's all-tube, It's powerful, It's big, It's a vox. A bit pricey though but you'll never part with it once you have it.

Heaven in an Amp
When you go to Guitar Center, there are hundreds of amps to choose from. One day, I was there and I happened to walk by the Vox Amplifers. I sat down and played about six of them; when finally, I found my calling...The Vox AC30 2x12 Custom Classic. It sounded better than any of the fender or marshall amps I had played. The tone is unbelievable- there are a few basic effects that you can use like the speed ajustable tremolo. You can make a rough tone or a nice smooth tone from this amp. I picked it up immediatly! For 1000 bucks its practically a steal! You get amazing tone, vox quality and reputation, and a great price. Its a great amp for outdoor/indoor venues, or for just jammin' with some pals. I would recomend this amp 100%. It is as if vox figured out a way to put heaven in this amp. It is perfect.

Nails U2 Tone
After playing blues/rock/metal for a lot of years, I got into this U2 "the Edge" thing for the past year and a half. Using Marshalls and Mesa/Boogies as amps did not cut it for trying to get that tone. I decided to look into an AC30 online. I found a lot of old, potentially unreliable, amps on other web sites. I guess I had a hard time ponying up for a used amp so I researched the new CC2 and CC2 with Celestions. I found them at a Guitar Center in the Seattle area and after a few minutes playing an Explorer, Strat, Tele and a Les Paul, through an echo unit into these awesome amps, I fell completely in love with them. I went with the CC2 because the price to tone ratio between the two was not worth the extra $500.00. Anyways, other than being very loud for standard home practice time, this amp is second to none and I recommend it to anyone!!

Great amp, big and loud
I purchased this amp about a month or so ago as an upgrade from a 15w 1x8. Being a huge Beatles fan, I've seen VOX's everywhere with them, and love the sound.
The amp really delivers. The Normal and Top Boost channels actually sound and work differently, which is nice, and together you can get a little extra boost. Controls are pretty fluid and easy to use and understand, except the Tone knob seems kinda backwards (turn up for a warmer sound, instead of down) Very easy to use and customize. This is what VOX is all about, and this will get you that VOX tone that you know and love.
My only complaint is that it is soooooo heavy. Weighing in at around 70-75 lbs, I feel like Atlas holding up the world trying to carry this thing up 3 flights of stairs to my apartment.
Great look, great sound, a little pricey and heavy, but a great amp.

warm...
This amp is simply amazing. I have played a handful of vintage AC30 bluebacks, and this emulates the tone perfectly. I run this with my Les Paul, DL-4, TS-9, and Full-Drive 2, and it's the creamiest sounding amp I've ever used.
Don't get me wrong - this amp can crunch, too. I recently used one in the studio with a local rock band, and with a good distortion in front of it, this thing screams.
This amp is a heck of a deal, and a worthy addition to anyone's amp collection.
