On a traditional pedalboard, even when the effects are off, your signal still goes through numerous tone-trashing buffers, solid-state switches and patch cables. The Voodoo Lab Pedal Switcher uses 4 true bypass loops to send your signal only to the pedals you're using. Built with the finest gold relays sealed in nitrogen, your tone will stay pure and dynamic no matter what kind or how many guitar effect pedals you use.
With Voodoo Lab Pedal Switcher, you can use all those great classic and modern stompboxes without destroying that pure "straight to amp" sound. Have the freedom to use any pedals you want, and never have to worry that the buffer in your overdrive is killing your vintage fuzz!
Pedal Switcher features 4 instant access switches, buffered and non-buffered inputs, and a TRS insert for putting devices like a volume pedal between effects. Loops can also be used as a mute for silent tuning onstage, and A/B amp switching. Add a Commander and you can control an unlimited number of Pedal Switcher units allowing you to store combinations of pedals. Check out Commander here.

I purchased the Voodoo Labs Pedal Switcher to aid with my Boss pedals. If anyone has tried to use a Boss CH-1 pedal, you know the tone loss problems you have with that unit. The pedal switcher takes care of that issue. I also purchased the Voodoo Lab Commander, which allows one to have ten presets with this switcher. The rig is now quieter without the tone loss of using non-true bypass pedals. If there is anything I don't like about the Voodoo Labs Pedal Switcher, is that it requires 9 volt AC. I wish every thing was DC. However, you don't get everything you want. Also, none of the loops in the Pedal Switcher are stereo. One will not be able to use the functionality of a Stereo pedal (like the Boss DD-7). It will be strictly mono. I also like the fact that one can link other pedal switchers to make a larger true bypass chain. This fact aids in the expandability of the device. It can also phantom power other devices (IE. the Commander or other Pedal Switchers. Overall, I believe the Voodoo Labs to be a good product that does its function well. If one is looking for a quieter rig, this unit, along with an isolated power supply, will definitely help.
I run a multi-amp setup (usually three) and this is a great switcher for that purpose. It is virtually noiseless which is huge and has separate volume settings for all of thge different channels. Also the geniuses at Voodoo designed an easy to understand way to program it and put that on a sticker on the bottom of the pedal. The one part that is tough is the size which is fairly large if you are planning on putting it on a pedalboard, but not unreasonably so considering what it does. If you can put it on the floor you will save a lot of room.
