Experimenting with and discovering all-new combinations of instruments and timbres is one of the most exciting activities in orchestration. With this bundle you get the Collections Saxophones and Recorders – instruments that are rarely used in the classical symphonic context but add rich new colors to your arrangements. Additionally, you get instrumental rarities in Historic Winds I and II that are not only perfectly suited to score appropriate film subjects but are a real source of inspiration if you’re looking for all-new timbres and instrumental combinations in order to enrich your arrangements with new colors. Saxophones covers the complete saxophones family (soprano saxophone, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, and bass saxophone) turning its attention to romantic solo and orchestra literature as well as to jazz instrumentation. Recorders includes samples of four different instruments (soprano recorder, alto recorder, tenor recorder, and bass recorder), adding a particular exotic timbre with references to ancient or far eastern worlds in orchestral scores. Historic Winds I and II cover rare instruments from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, and includes a Transverse flute, Baroque oboe, Oboe da caccia, Ophicleide, Serpent, Zink, 5 Crumhorns (soprano, alto, tenor, bass, double bass), and 3 Natural Trumpets (in Bb, C and D).
