For any amount of drumsticks, this bag does the job. The pocket in the front allows space for little accesories such as keys and tuners as well as dampeners and parts. The inside has two large pouches for and size sticks and has allowed me to travel anywhere with any amount of sticks. The only thing is that it can use a feature to mount the bag onto drums easier!

The Vic Firth stick bag is priced well but poorly stitched. Is already torn and useless after about two years under great care. I definitely expect more out of a stick bag. The price is the real appeal. If you play gigs then just pay the extra money to get a good bag. Holds about 16 pairs of vic firth 5A sticks maximum, which is an adequate amount for most occasions.

Poor product

By Claire

from Gainesville, FL

Comments about Vic Firth Standard Stick Bag:

The first time I bought the bag the zipper broke within an hour of using it, so I returned it for a new bag and the zipper broke off entirely leaving me with the only option to duck tape my bag together until i could get new bag from a different company. This bag is not a reliable bag and I don't recommend it to anyone.

Comments about Vic Firth Standard Stick Bag:

I've come to expect more from Vic Firth products, but this is the exception. This bag is poorly constructed with inferior stitching. Mine fell apart quickly and forced me to buy another. Fortunately I got a better bag for about the same price by avoiding the Vic Firth brand. Don't waste your money on this bag. You will be disappointed.

Comments about Vic Firth Standard Stick Bag:

Great bag! this lasted me a year filled with up to 10 pairs of sticks and mallets... after i added brushes the metal part broke through causing a smallhole, which soon expanded... this bag works fine as long as you dont string it up on the floor tom on the drumkit. this has lasted 3 years, and i am soon planing on replacing with a vic firth leather bag. This stickbag is a good buy, and even better if its on sale, but dont expect it to hold up forever.

          Worth every cent

Comments about Vic Firth Standard Stick Bag:

It worked then, it works now, it will probably work for many years.
I bought my bag over 5 years ago. We practice regularly and perform 4+ hour gigs giving the case a thorough workout. The one problem in all that time is the zipper pull cracked. Replaced with a key ring, it's back to normal. There are no tears and the Velcro on the pouch works like fine. Dont' put it in the washing machine. That could ruin the zipper. Use a stiff brush to remove stains and dirt. Take care of the bag and it will take care of you. Mine will probably last another 5+ years. I LOVE IT
no tears overall, zipper intact except the pull which was replaced.
Don't buy cheap gear just because it has a corporate logo on it. You'll "get what you pay for". BUY QUALITY

          Good quality and affordable

Comments about Vic Firth Standard Stick Bag:

As i mentioned before, this bag does just what it needs. No fancy feautures but great material. It hangs very nicely on my 16" tom.
This is a standard stick bag, and it is just a standard stick bag. No fancy features, it just does what it is meant to do, hold sticks.
The material on this bag is great, very strong and sturdy. The zip is a great size and feels like it will not break off.
This is absoulotely fantastic value. Many other stick bags are atleast double this price and are terrible compared to this.

          Fell apart in 1 year

          By Michael Myers

          from Mass

Comments about Vic Firth Standard Stick Bag:

I'm not a heavy hitter so my Vic Firth sticks last for years... Wish the same was true for this bag...
Nice pouch and pocket setup.. Ties for hanging from my kit(s) are useful
I've had this bag for a little over a year. As with some other reviewer the stitching let go and sticks started falling out. So a little hot glue later it's ugly but fixed. Then a bout 2-months ago the stitching holding the zipper completely separated..
Would be fine if it lasted

          Pro-Mark Standard Stick Bag review

          By Joseph Nunham

          from USA

Comments about Vic Firth Standard Stick Bag:

Not much to review about this bag. It holds your sticks and other items you want to put in it (such as hearing protection, drum keys, etc.) just great. It fits nicely on my 16 inch floor tom and makes grabbing for sticks a breeze. Another nice feature is that it folds up and zips when you want to travel with it. One thing to point out - the Pro-Mark logo is actually in white. This picture makes it look like it is pink.

If you are a drummer looking for a bag to hold your sticks and other drum items, then I would highly recommend this bag.

          holey stick bag batman!

          By dropnroll

          from San Diego, CA

Comments about Vic Firth Standard Stick Bag:

Had this for about a year and it blew a hole on one of the pockets, causing sticks to drop out. Look at the design on the similar bags; Vic Firth, Zildjian, Pro Mark, DW ....all the same manufacturer ....steer clear! They can send a man to the moon but they can't make a stick bag that lasts more than a year ....Jeez!

          Decent stick bag

          By tenniscrazy2

          from Virginia

Comments about Vic Firth Standard Stick Bag:

I've had this bag for about 4 months, and it still looks like it's new. I have 1 pair of timpani mallets, 3 pairs of drum sticks, a pair of rubber tipped practice sticks, 3 pairs of glockenspiel/xylophone mallets, 1 pair of cymbal mallets, and 2 pairs of marimba mallets. When I first got it, I could easily fit all of my mallets in it, but as I'm gradually getting more and more, I can't quite fit all of my mallets in it anymore. I think I'm gonna get the bigger Vic Firth stick bag. The only other thing I don't like about this bag is the fact that the strap is too small to go all the way over your shoulder, so you can only hold it in your hand. The outside pocket is great for storing sheet music and/or accessories. If you have 10 pairs of mallets/sticks or less, this is the bag for you.
