These sticks are really good. I was afraid that since I ordered from guitar center I wouldn't get a solid pair of sticks. To my surprise, the sticks that showed up at my door were some of the best I've ever played with. This sticks would for any drumline inside or out.
The Ralph Hardimon snare stick hasnt let me down before. Its isnt the best stick ive held in my hands but it is truly the best for an overall marching setting in my opinion. The tip is a unique shaped barrel giving it a long taper that really lets you bring out your double strokes with ease. Even when you are playing at low dynamic levels, it still speaks through the drum and retains a good sound. The only side effect is you have to give a little more effort with your hands when you are pulling a fast lick. I dont recommend it for a solo situation but over all, a great stick.
ralph hardimon sticks are amazing. i have owned these sticks for about a year now and i still love them. i have tried other marching sticks but i still come back to these. Vic Firth should get an award for these sticks. i own about 4 pairs right now just cause i like them so much. with tape they are even better!
I have had these for awhile now, and have bought them considerably many many times. These sticks cannot be beaten. The balance is amazing without tape, and the same with tape! They almost make me want to play set with them, but i cannot screw up my heads...
Best Marching Sticks EVER. I go through about a pair every week so far this season. These sticks still get the best sound though. Strong, perfect marching sticks.
I teach an indoor drumline, and we went through about 10 to 15 different types of sticks trying to get the "right" feel. I have to tell you, we ALWAYS came back to the Ralph Hardimon wood tip by Vic Firth. My guy's used to break sticks left and right. It seems that when we switched, our orders decreased. And that saves money. The durabilty of the Ralphs has been a blessing all in it's self. You can't go wrong with this stick from high school to Drum Corps.
I'm in my highschool marching band and I play snare and these sticks are everthing you could ever ask for. I bought these sticks in the nylon tips and they are the perfect sticks for a marching snare. I have been using the same pair for about 6 months now and with all the rim shots I do and as hard as I play they are still in good condition. There is no way you can go wrong buying these sticks and they are a very good price too. I dont think i could settle for any other kind of marching sticks. Thank you Vic Firth for making these awsome sticks.
