I bought this practice pad in the 12" version, and honestly i think you could probably get the same thing from a different brand, that's cheaper. and really the 12" is to big get the smaller one. It's a great practice pad, it gets the job done, and I love the double sided feature with hard and soft leather on different sides, but really the soft leather is all you need and there's no reason to even have it in a 12".
This pad is pretty good. It is insanely durable, I have dropped mine a ton (from high up, like 6 feet) and the pad is still stuck on the wood, its definately not coming off. It has a quiet side, and a loud side. The loud side is better for working out your wrists, while the quiet is good for practicing buzz rolls.
A must have for any drummer. It's quiet so you don't wake up the whole house. I'm new to drumming so it's helping me develop timing and muscle memory!
