A "Secret Weapon" for acoustic jams

By Eddy Skipwith

from Albuquerque, NM

Comments about Baby Taylor Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar (2011 Model):

This guitar is loud, and very easy to play, even with my large hands. It works well for flat picking and finger picking. It tunes easily and stays there. With a very prominent mid-range, its single-string lead voice can be heard nicely against a full size dreadnought. The low string tension makes the strings easy for blues bends and vibrato. My heavy (metal) slide makes this baby Taylor sing out loudly and sustain forever. Its a little Swiss Army Knife guitar, and a great value. If I had a child at home, I would buy another baby Taylor for him or her, and keep this one for myself!

Eazeist guitar to play

By shane

from Anacortes wa

Comments about Baby Taylor Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar (2011 Model):

the baby taylor is a dream to play. frets are super easy to play, big sounds, looks... kinda plain to tell the truth, little off by the two screws that keep the neck on, but not ugly by any means of the word. I bought mine for the summer got tired of lugging my full size guitars to the lake and camping, with the baby taylor I'm not going to be drowned out with my friends full guitars and I'm going to be teaching my nine yearold neece how to play so 3/4 guitar is perfect for her. comes with a pretty nice gig bag.I really like this guitar and well probably be givin to my neece when she gets alittle older and then i'll get the gs mini haha

little guitar, big sound

By Carmen

from Richmond, VA

Comments about Baby Taylor Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar (2011 Model):

I went into guitar center looking for a more portable/playable guitar and the salesperson recommended this guitar to me. I was kind of skeptical at first because of how light it felt but after taking it home and playing it for a couple weeks, I am absolutely in love. I actually prefer to play it over my other two dreadnaught guitars for the sheer fact that it takes so much less effort. granted, if I were performing I would probably still use a dreadnaught because of their durability, but I'm thinking I'll probably record a few things using this baby taylor. it's amazing and so much fun to play. obviously, the guitar is fun-sized. why wouldn't it be? but I would caution anyone who buys it to keep it properly humidified (not too much or too little!). if you take care of the guitar, I'm sure it will work wonders for you like it has with me!

Yeah Baby!

By Kevin

from Ohio

Comments about Baby Taylor Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar (2011 Model):

Just bought my used Taylor today and I couldn't be happier. A buddy of mine had one and always raved about it! I'm a true electric fan at heart.. but wanted a traveler's acoustic to throw around. This thing sounds spectacular! I sure wouldn't play a gig with this guitar, but it does everything else I want and more! I compared it to the Laguna series but those sounded too bright. The Taylor Baby has a bold sound and is easy to play. The action is a pretty high but I didn't mind it since i'll leave the fast riffs to my electric. 5/5

More fun than the big one!

By Steve

from San Jose, CA

Comments about Baby Taylor Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar (2011 Model):

I recently purchased a Taylor 414-ce. My wife, who has never played, thought it sounded so nice she wanted to learn. So I taught her a few simple 3-string chords to play along. Problem is - her hands are tiny and even a parlor-sized guitar is too big. I hated the thought of having her use a "kiddie" guitar. So when I first strummed the Baby Taylor, I was blown away! Better tone and sustain than many full sized guitars! Some may prefer the tone of the Little Martin, but since thr Martin uses heavier gauge strings, I think the Baby Taylor is *much* more playable... expecially for a beginner. Now when I wake up in the morning, I usually grab the Baby Taylor to strum a few chords since it's much easier than pulling out the big guy. I may have to get another one for myself!

awesome guitar for beginner

By Hunter

from san diego,ca

Comments about Baby Taylor Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar (2011 Model):

I think any kid just starting guitar should get this baby. It is awesome and you can rock out on it. One thing that stinks is it slips if you are standing up and playing. It is a must get strap guitar.

Perfect Fit

By Loree

from Ramona, Ca.

Comments about Baby Taylor Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar (2011 Model):

I recently lost my home in the Ca. fires. Needless to say that my guitars went as well. We are temporarily living in a RV while we rebuild. Space is at a premium but I wanted a guitar to play all my worries away. Enter the Baby Taylor. Not only does this baby sound great but it is also the "perfect fit" for the small quarters I am forced to live in. Will I still love this little baby when I moved into the 'big' house? You bet! Taylor makes a quality guitar no matter what the size.

Great Little Guitar

By guitars411

from Undisclosed

Comments about Baby Taylor Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar (2011 Model):

I bought my baby taylor about a year ago and it has become my constant companion. It's size is great for children or people who have trouble fretting a full-size guitar, The sound is nice blends perfectly with my friends Martin. The sound never gets drowned out by his larger guitar. It also comes with a free bag that is more than sufficient for traveling. One complaint I would have is the sustain isn't very impressive. All in all, this has been a grat guitar.

Comments about Baby Taylor Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar (2011 Model):

Taylor Baby Taylor Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar. Its tiny, less exspensive, and a large sound. I liked it but found that I prefered a bigger guitar for the same price.

Your baby, Baby Taylor!

By Mic1412

from Buffalo, NY

Comments about Baby Taylor Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar (2011 Model):

ii. I am personally a frequent traveler, and I love to bring my guitar with me the most time. At the beginning, I used to bring my Yamaha acoustic guitar with me all the time, but soon I found it too big and heavy to carry around, then I stopped bringing guitar with me for a while(unless traveling for a long period.) One day I walked into a music shop, I started to play around their guitars as usual. Soon my eyes focused on one guitar, yes, it is the Baby Taylor. I was amazed by its size and started to wonder, if I have such a small guitar, traveling with guitar would not be so painful. I sit down and tried, the acoustic is great, and the tone is rich! With the smaller size neck, chords are a lot easier to press, and sounds beautiful. This Baby Taylor has been with me for 3 years, I still carry it around wherever I go, even just to take a walk by the lake. Despite the high cost, it's a great choice for people who travels a lot, or of course people who have kids that likes to mess around with guitar. Great feature, nice Quality, decent price, and 100% satisfaction after 3 years usage. Overall a Five!!
