With WaveLab Cast 2, Steinberg has streamlined the process of getting started, thanks to the new Startup Assistant. This assistant will help show users the different workspaces and what you can create with them. From here, you can choose to start a new podcast or edit an existing recording. You can select your recording and playback devices before starting a new project and each workspace will offer all the tools you need to get great results.

The newly developed Channel Strip comes with fantastic tools to manipulate voice and music the easy way. Thanks to the "one knob" approach, all functions can be managed in very simple steps. The CLEAN section comprises refinement tools such as DeEsser and DeNoiser and allows users to remove unwanted noise instantantly. The ENHANCE area allows you to EQ your audio, add Reverb to it and enhance the presence of speech using the Voice Exciter, or give it more punch using the maximizer.

Easily upload your episodes with WaveLab Cast to Spreaker, Podbean, Soundcloud, Buzzsprout, Castos, Blubrry and Captivate, saving users a lot of time and effort. Alternatively, you can create and publish RSS feeds directly from within WaveLab Cast. You can upload your podcasts to your choice.

All users of a previous version of WaveLab Cast are entitled to a free update. This means that the current WaveLab Cast license will be renamed to WaveLab Cast 2, and it will run as WaveLab Cast 2 automatically. On July 20 and onwards, all users that redeem a WaveLab Cast DAC will receive a WaveLab Cast 2 license. Additionally, users who still have an old eLicenser-based license will find a voucher in their user-accounts to migrate to Steinberg Licensing and with it, to WaveLab Cast 2.
