Comments about Sperzel Bass Tuning Keys:

These Sperzel tuning machines do not fit on Fender basses with 11/16ths diameter holes. They also do not fit on Ibanezes. To me, that is the equivalent of making tires in the USA that do not fit on Fords, Chevys, or Toyotas. Apparently they do fit on Rogues, though- which means the next time I need tuning machines worth half the price of the bass I'll try them again. I have Sperzel tuning machines on all of my guitars so I was excited to try their bass product. I called the company in Cleveland and they actually sent me to get in touch with a custom guitar company to get aftermarket bushing adapters. Overall the process was a pretty serious waste of time and money. Musiciansfriend should have done a better job with the product description here. That's a pretty big detail that they don't fit on the most popular basses in the history of the instrument.

    Excellent tuners

    By Michael Kail

    from Columbus, Ohio

Comments about Sperzel Bass Tuning Keys:

I had to replace tuners on my Hofner bass and wanted something dependable that didn't compromise the appearance or feel of the bass. I hooked up with Guitar Center online and found Sperzel Bass tuning keys in Satin Chrome. They are very light and durable with string locks, a great combination. No, they aren't the original Hofner tuners but they look better and work smoother! I bought my Hofner to play and play hard and the Sperzel tuners allow me to just that, in tune!

    The greatest tuners. Ever.

Comments about Sperzel Bass Tuning Keys:

My first experience with Sperzel tuners was when I bought my Carvin fretless 5-string in 1994. I've since bought two Carvin guitars with them, and installed them myself on my cheapy Epiphone "backup" guitar. Flawless.

    Not for IBANEZ basses

    By johnny rock

    from Gilroy, CA.

Comments about Sperzel Bass Tuning Keys:

I've had the same IBANEZ bass (edb600)for almost 8 years and aside from the neck being replaced shortly after I bought it, I've never had a problem until recently when the tuning peg broke. Well after some quick research, I decided on these cute little tuners...after trying to install them, I realized that they are too small for the original peg holes and the support pegs are on the opposite side... I hated having to drill into one of my fav. basses! Bottom line...if you own an IBANEZ, don't buy these as a replacement!

Sperzel tuners, the best on the market

    By Sock_monkey5

Comments about Sperzel Bass Tuning Keys:

I've tried several brands of tuners, hipshots are nice.... but my favorite of all are the sperzels because they don't weight down your headstock, they're the lightest on the market, also the locking mechanism is very cool, I build basses for a living and I could go for cheaper tuners, but I go for the best. Sperzels.

    One of the best

    By brandon-1MzKQ

Comments about Sperzel Bass Tuning Keys:

I got a set of 2x2 blk sperzels for my custom bass I built three years ago. They were one of the best decisions I made for that bass. The sperzels allow me to have to tune less, play more and greatly reduce the initial stringing time due to the fact that you don't have to wind and wind and wind around the peg to have it stay in tune. Gave it nines cause it didn't wash my car for me.

    Beautiful.

    By AmmJamSST

Comments about Sperzel Bass Tuning Keys:

These tuners for bass are great! I have a Rogue that needed new tuners as soon as possible, and these are better than any tuner I have tried. They are really smooth, tune easily, don't slip, and best of all, have a locking system. With Sperzel, you can't go wrong!
