These tuners are great. They are simple to install and look great. They are very stable and stay in tune better than any other set of tuners I have ever used. I have a set of graduated ones on my strat and they eliminated the need for a string guide on the headstock. I also have non-graduated ones on an Ibanez in golf finish. The quality is unbelievable. I also own a set of the planet waves trim lock tuners, but they are not nearly as sturdy as these. My Music Man has Schaller locking tuners and those are similar in quality. You will not be disappointed.

Add some weight to that head for cheap

My tone improved with these, I'm happy. They don't lock as tight as id like them to, not chrome but brushed steel. They could be better.

If you have any doubt at all in your present tuners, I'd try a set of Sperzel. They install easy, and function the way they are suppose to.

Comments about Sperzel 6-In-Line Non-Graduated Tuners:

I have these tuners on several guitars. I also have Schaller locking tuners on a couple. I have no preference between the 2 types because they are both good well made tuners & similar in function. Very easy to change strings. Which type I buy depends on the best price I can find & I do a lot of looking at different suppliers to find it.
It was quite by accident that several years ago I found out that with the Sperzel's you can reverse the winding knob to the other side. Just take the knob all the way off & push out the shaft & put it in the other side. (Don't lose the bushings). I usually see better prices for the 6 in lines than the 3x3's so you can reverse 3 of the 6 in lines & make a 3x3 set. Some 6 in line sets have different post heights so be sure you can use shorter posts before committing. And, 6 in line sets are also sold with all posts the same height, if you can find them. They're called non-graduated. Anyway, you may be able to save some green if ya shop wise.

        Sperzel 6-In-Line Non-Graduated Tuners

        By michael ward

Comments about Sperzel 6-In-Line Non-Graduated Tuners:

Only drawback I can see is tightner screw on back is a little too thin for my taste but I have these on other guitars and have not had a problem.
First, the peg part is brushed nickel not chrome. Second, try and find these elsewhere. Third, I have these on all my guitars and I could not care less if they were purple, all I know is they work and that is why I purchased them !!!
Seem sturdy and tight, should last longer than me.
I think they are worth it, Carvin puts Sperzel on all guitars standard.

        Best Tuners available

        By Matt Elder

        from St. Louis, MO

Comments about Sperzel 6-In-Line Non-Graduated Tuners:

These came stock in my Parker Fly Deluxe and Parker Nitefly-M. Prior to acquiring these guitars I had used Schaller locking tuners on my Fenders, the stock Gibson Deluxe tuners on the Gibby. While all these tuners worked pretty well, and as advertised (and no complaints), the sperzels blow them out of the water. Ease of use for quick string changes plus the benefit of staying in tune right after the string change--no more 'break-in' period for a set of strings--are worth the price. These tuner's stay in tune even using vibrato bridges. If you love the tuning stability of a floyd rose bridge, but hate the complexity of string changes and operation this is a beautifully simple alternative. Ditch the F-rose. Just bought a pair to put on a Parker P-38...anybody need a set of Grover's? Unless you have a vintage guitar or want the vintage look, there really isn't a reason why these shouldn't work better for you on any guitar. Name a guitar, I've played it. Nothing plays a good as a Parker. Even the P-38, a discontinued lower end Parker is impressive (especially for the price-point).

5 stars on product, 5 platinum stars for Customer Service!!!

Comments about Sperzel 6-In-Line Non-Graduated Tuners:

I had ordered these, and they had arrived sooner than I had anticipated. Open the package and one of the tuners was missing the mounting nut. I thought here we go, just what I needed, getting someone one the phone who not only doesn't know what a guitar is let alone a tuner or have some language barrier. Well, to my surprise, I was completely wrong about everything, she sent me out some new tuners, even knew all about guitars and everything. I was totally impressed. Guitar Centers Customer Service is what all customer service centers should be like.

Comments about Sperzel 6-In-Line Non-Graduated Tuners:

I hear both bad and good about sperzel locking tuners. Well the fact is that they are the best thing on the market. Precision machined for fine tuning and very attractive on your instrument. I have had nothing but great luck with them and wouldn't have anything else. Plain and simple they are the best out there.

        Best Locking Tuners

        By MadvilleBirdman-KtnBd

        from Jax, FL

Comments about Sperzel 6-In-Line Non-Graduated Tuners:

I have always used Sperzel Locking Tuners as they come standard on all Carvin neck-through guitars.Finding the non-graduated post has been near impossible until I found them here on Musicians Friend. They are excellent, well made, tuners that stay in tune even with heavy string bending and tremola usage. A big plus is the super fast string changes. No string winding required. Push string through tuner, clamp with finger nut, and your ready to tune and rock! All guitars should come with Sperzel Tuners.
