The throne is just great. its pretty comfy. the last one i had was a piece of trash, it broke within a month. i didnt even play that much then. now i play frequently its been holding up pretty well. The seat is pretty thick so it is really comfy.

First of all, I am not a musician. I have never picked up any instrument and attempted to play it. However, I love Neal Peart of Rush. I needed a padded seat to use while observing with my telescopes, and I had seen several in the suppliers of astronomical equipment. I realized that the units that were offered were actually drummer's thrones, so IGoogled for one and found this one at Guitar Center. It appeared to be much more substantial than the ones that were available from telescope accessory retialers, so I ordered this one. It arrived in short order, and I used it for 5 nights at a stargaze in Louisiana in late October. It provided the cushioning needed for long nights of sitting aa well as the adjustability needed to accomodate different eyepiece heights on the telescope. Its a very durable throne that should provide me many years of comfort while observing.

It is not super comfortable but not bad either. It feels sturdy and while I have used only for almost two months, it seems to be fine.

I needed an inexpensive double-braced throne, and that's what this is. It feels sturdy, and should last a while. Certainly it's better than the office chair I used in the past. Don't be fooled by the thick top, though. This thing is not a cushy seat. I'm solidly-built but not huge at 180lbs, and still don't sink into the cushion very far. I last about 30 minutes before developing painful pressure points on the rear end and legs. It's a good starter throne, as long as you don't expect your tailbone to be cradled in plush comfort.
