I needed a cheap stand to hold my zildjian 16' crash, and while other sound percussion stands may be awsome, this one was fine for about 2 months, then one day when i ajusted it, by raising the height a little, it snapped, and broke completely. do not buy this stand. if you are gonna buy a sound percussion stand, buy the double braced boom stand.

Great stand

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880CS Double-Braced Cymbal Stand:

SP880CS stand is very sturdy. Just purchased my third one today for another Sabian 18" Crash. Very well built. And for the price, Cannot go wrong. Why pay more for a name. SP is very reasonably priced.

Cheap, strong, No problems

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880CS Double-Braced Cymbal Stand:

The reason Why I bought this stand was because one its cheap. Two I didn't have enough money to buy something expensive. Besides saving money with it, this stand is quite sturdy. I have a 20in ride on it and its really heavy. It doesn't wobble and does the job. The Sound Percussion stand is great! Its Cheap! and its Strong!

These are good stands

By

from Whitinsville, Massachusetts

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880CS Double-Braced Cymbal Stand:

I bought three of these stands along with the Sabian B8 Performance Set, and these stands are working perfectly. I didn't need anything fancy... I was a drummer, but now I'm a guitarist, and I just recently got back into drumming. I only have a gammon set, and my cymbals aren't the best, so I don't need stands that cost hundreds of dollars out of my pocket, so I went with these. They seem to me to be really sturdy, and while the price still seems steep to me, these have a great price compared to other stands on the market. To sum this up, I will tell you, I highly recommend this stand!

Great Stand For Most Cymbals

By

from Oregon

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880CS Double-Braced Cymbal Stand:

Currently, I use this stand for a Agazarian 16" Heavy Crash Cymbal that came with my kit. The stand is very sturdy and hasn't fallen over. There are no signs of cracks after the year I've had it. I have the 16" crash plased about 4" above my floor tom and for Christmas, I am getting a Sabian 18" China B8 that I am hoping to place vertically directly above the crash. The stand isn't tall enough to do this, so I'll have to do some rearranging, which I hate to do.

Sound Percussion

By

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880CS Double-Braced Cymbal Stand:

I hve learned alot about, pedals, and hardware since i started playing, and i am only 6 months in with my own kit, but i'll tell you that you wont get any better value then sound percussion double braced straight and boom stands, the straight stand holds my 20" a custom ride with ease ad i expect it to do the same with my future 22 inch zildjian k dark medium ride. I have all SP double braced stands, they are tough, sturdy, and very affordable, i recomend this stand with full confidence i have everytime i play on my cymbals knowing they arent going to be tipping over with my hard hitting

Very Nice Stand

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880CS Double-Braced Cymbal Stand:

Been a gigging musician for 40 years (guitarist) but also play drums. Recently purchased one of these stands for a 20" Med. Ride, very satisfied! Very sturdy stand and very reasonably priced. IMO, Sound Percussion products are one of the best values out there. Will be buying more in the future.

its only good if you like your cymbals to breathe

By

from Raleigh NC

Comments about Sound Percussion Labs SP880CS Double-Braced Cymbal Stand:

just like the title. i use it for crashes and nothing else. the cymbal felts are really thin so you cant tighten your cymbals down very much. howevewr if you take the washer off the bottom and put it on top of the top felt then tighten it down, it gets a little tighter but is still loose. great stand part, just recommend buying some thicker cymbal felts.
