This compact, parlor-size guitar is great fun to play and produces a surprisingly big sound for such a small package. Excursion Series
Rugged, bare bones & packed full of tone. Made in Canada, the Seagull Excursion Series sets a new benchmark in affordable, quality crafted North American-made acoustic guitars. It was a very difficult task to create a Canadian-made acoustic guitar with this level of build quality while making it so incredibly affordable. However, the fine team of luthiers in Princeville, Quebec rose to the challenge and made it happen.

Similar to the S6 Slim, the Excursion models feature the Seagull Slim neck with a 1.72" nut width, which is great for players who are more accustomed to a more traditional nut width.

  • Nut Width : 1.72"
  • Top, Back & Sides: Canadian Wild Cherry (3-layer lamination of real hardwood) with Burn Stamped Rosette.
  • Neck: Silver Leaf Maple Integrated Set Neck
  • Fingerboard & Bridge: Rosewood
  • Nut & Saddle: Compensated Tusq by Graphtech
  • Truss Rod: Double Function
  • Finish: Semi-Gloss Custom Polished Finish

Whoa! What an amazing little guitar!

Comments about Seagull Excursion Grand SG Isys+ Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I have a nice Martin, which I try very hard to protect with a humidor, and from the heat and cold. I wanted a guitar to take to the beach, mountains, camping, etc. I played the more well-known mini/baby series but wasn?t happy with the feel, balance, or sound. My local shop carries seagulls and had the entire Excursion line. WOW. For the price these guitars are amazing! I love that you can feel the wood grain on the body. I personally hate when guitars have so much lacquer that they feel sterile and plastic! Let the wood breath. I realize that this is a plywood guitar, and that it is very small, but then that is why I bought it. Loving it for spontaneous worship sessions. It has an unusual tone, unique, not super tinny, but just different. The balance is wonderful, the fit and finish is flawless, and I paid the extra 50 for the onboard electronics?and that is where my mind was blown. I played it through my Roland Street EX and was shocked on the adjustability balance of tone. Seagull has seriously impressed me! Is this a D-28, nope, is a civic a Ferrari, nope. This is an awesome first guitar/travel guitar/parlor guitar.
