Schott Hot Cello 3 (18 Advanced Pop Pieces) Cello and Piano Book/CD

Hot Cello includes a varied selection of pieces inspired by blues, jazz, rock and pop. These cello pieces are suitable for more advanced students to use in lessons or simply to play for pleasure. The pieces in Volume 3 are musically and technically more demanding than those in volume 2, with technical tricks like double stops, neck positions (5th-7th), thumb position, off-beat bowing, and typical rhythmic specialties of popular music. Thanks to the included piano part, the pieces can be performed with accompaniment at a music school concert. The jazzy titles can and shall encourage the pupils to improvise. Chord symbols have been added to assist improvisation.
