Roland CUBE STREET Amp introduced

Description
Great Sound to Go
Roland CUBE amps are famous for performance that exceeds their physical size, and the CUBE Street is no exception. With two high-performance neodymium speakers onboard, this amp sounds incredible and is capable of high-volume output that defies its physical dimensions. Best of all, it can run for up to 15 hours on just six AA alkaline batteries.
8 Amps Onboard
More than meets the eye, the CUBE Street is actually eight different amps in one via its built-in COSM amp models. From tube-driven blues classics to modern metal stacks, Roland's COSM technology is world famous for capturing every nuance of the original amps—from the preamp and circuits to the speaker.
Bonus Features
The CUBE Street amplifier is chock-full of extra features to make your gigs easier, including a built-in chromatic tuner and two digital effects processors. In addition to the aforementioned COSM amp models, you can choose from six of Roland's famous effects to enrich your sound.
Portable PA
It's a guitar amp and mini PA system in one. With its dual-channel architecture and XRL/1/4" Microphone input, you can sing and play guitar through one convenient amplifier. There's even a delay and reverb devoted to the Mic/Line channel.

Not A Pair Of Micro Cubes
I've only had my "Street" for a week, but I have formed my opinion. I've owned a Roland Micro Cube for nearly 2 years. I was moderately pleased with its limited capabilities & have done a couple street corner solo shows with it. I had thought that the new Cube Street was simply a pair of Micro Cubes housed in a single chassis. I was wrong. The improvement in sound quality and versitility of tone for the guitar is striking, as is the additional decibel level. I play with backing tracks, and this new unit recreates the stereo field and the recorded mp3 quality much better and louder. The PA path is quiet and meaty. . .a totally unexpected surprise (I know "meaty" when I hear it. I own a Bose PAS). I had been planning on taking it to the street with the Micro. Now, I'm thinking of just leaving the Micro at home. Awesome job, Roland!

good as an amp, bad as a PA
I'm a dance intructor and when I teach in front of big groups, I use a wireless headset mic. and an iPod for the music. I normally use a boombox and a small mixer to plug my mic and iPod into the boombox. I saw that the Cube has an imput for MP3 player and Mic built in, so I thought I would be happy with the Cube Street and save setup time and extra wires. the mic section works really well, I also tested my Les Paul guitar with it, and it's pretty decent, but when I'm teaching dancing I use it to play my music from my iPod, The sound quality is terrible, it sounds like an old single speaker radio. there is no volume control for the MP3 player so I have to control the volume with my iPod, it has no equalizer for the Aux in either, so there is no way to adjust the sound for MP3 player either. I get much better sound for my music with my old cheap boombox. I guess the Cube Street was designed to be used with guitar and vocal, but to actually play music from an MP3 player, the sound quality is horrible.

I needed an amp to plug my electric guitar into for a graveside service. No plugs outside, so battery power was a must. I played through this one in the store and was very impressed with the sound. I turned it wide open and it does have some kick to it, but it's only made for small gatherings which is perfect. I would have given it 5 stars, but it's a bit expensive for the size, in my opinion. Other than that, it's a great investment for the serious musician who needs to be prepared for all occasions.
I replaced a Katana-Air with this amp and I have no regrets.

This is a practice or even street performance, amp with great professional built in FX. It is loud and clean. Use 2 guitars or a mic and guitar each with separate FX.
I would buy it again it's great

Tried this because it was light weight and battery operated. It was easy to carry around but doesn't put out much sound. Maybe I expected too much for something this size. Returned it.
Lucky me, it was on sale.

Only had it a couple weeks now, but I am impressed with the ease of use and tone palette. I'll be using it for open mike nights and small improve gigs. I'd wanted one of these for a while. Was looking to replace a modeling amp that died when I saw it on sale. The rep couldn't find the adaptor but returned with batteries. I was sold within five minutes of play. Lotta sound in a small package.
