Overview

The Rogue Rocketeer RR200 combines the features of Rogue RR100 guitar with a basswood body for excellent tone and sustain. It is based on a classic design and was built for ease of playability. A sunburst finish and pearloid pickguard offer custom-good looks. The ultrathin, comfortable bolt-on maple neck makes it easy to riff up and down the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with ease. The humbucker/dual single-coil pickup configuration with a 5-way switch puts an incredible array of tones at your fingertips and the addition of a coil-splitting via a push/pull pot offers up even more tonal options. A 6-screw vintage tremolo lets you have tons of whammy bar fun, while the die-cast tuners make sure you are in tune every time.

Guitar case sold separately.

This is not my first guitar but it is the cheapest one so far and I find myself playing it as much as the ones that cost much more. These Rogue Rocketeer guitars maybe a hit or miss I don't know but the one I got works well and would buy another. Neck was smooth and strait, I've removed the strings and replaced with a set of Ernie Balls, polished the frets. Lowered the bridge a little, the things you would do with any guitar in this price range. To be fair it was playable out of the box but a good setup helps every guitar. It is a great player sounds pretty good. The five way selector blade switch gives one lots of options on the pickups.

This guitar has a few good features such as good feel and a flawless finish.
The only problem I had is that mine was not playable out of the box.
All of the fret's needed filing, the string's were oxidized and a set up was required.

Comments about Rogue Rocketeer Deluxe Electric guitar:

I thought I had achieved guitar contentment with my Gibson Studio that I use to play rhythm guitar in church. Unfortunately, being a little clumsy and causing my Gibson to fall off its stand resulted in a bent tuner. This helped me realize that I needed a beater guitar. The Gibson stays home - it's too nice to fall over on stage.

Enter this Rogue. I was swayed to the "light side" as I started to consider a Stratocaster style first (our lead guitar plays humbuckers... I wanted a contrasting sound), but the Squire strats are fairly notorious for inconsistent quality issues, and my goal was something playable for $100-200 that is quality for a few bucks more. This is it.

I love this maple neck with rosewood fret board. It's satin finish on the neck makes playing a joy. The body also fits like a glove.

The pickups are nothing special, but nothing bad. They sound like single coils... humm and all. They bring out some very nice clean sparkly tones when I set up my amp for that sound. Just turn up the gain a little more to get some growl.

When considering this versus a Strat, I thought I needed a pure SSS style Stratocaster. After playing this, I realize that I have the best of both worlds with this coil tapped HSS (That's right... the humbucker is COIL TAPPED - insane for this price!?). If the "buzz" on the single coils is driving you crazy... Drop in the humbucker, and you have anything between -quiet- cleans to gritty power cords.

Also, I think I prefer the simplicity of a single volume and single tone controls. Less struggle than with the Gibson's quad controls. Keep it simple = more fun.

By not being a pure Stratocaster clone, I don't have the flexibility of turning it into a custom parts-caster, but it does what I need it to, so why bother?

So, this is not a classic design. It is definitely a modern update to the classic Stratocaster.

A good guitar is you one you have a hard time putting down. You just want to keep on playing. This guitar is one of those.

Comments about Rogue Rocketeer Deluxe Electric guitar:

You know Rogue really gets a bad rap. I guess it's because they are cheap. I myself have owned several Rogue instruments, I don't know maybe I'm just really lucky but I have never ever had any of the issues so many seem to complain about. Now specifically about the rocketeer deluxe, I bought on sale for under $60 bucks, I got the grey burst finish and it is perfect. No blemishes no sharp fret edges intonation was spot on. Will probably change strings but there really isn't a hurry to do that. Overall excellent guitar for the money spent.

I haven't played guitar for over 30 years and want to get back to it. This guitar is perfect for what I'm doing, AND it looks great too! I got the black with light gray fade and it looks better in person than on the website. I am very happy with my purchase.

Comments about Rogue Rocketeer Deluxe Electric guitar:

I bought this guitar on a crazy sale, not expecting much, for a backup or practice guitar. But, when i got it, took it out of the box, tuned it, and played it i was blown away at it's sound. For this price range the pickups sound amazing going through a tube amp. This is a great guitar for mods or practice (Getting the most use around my house now) and jamming. Two thumbs up Rogue.

Comments about Rogue Rocketeer Deluxe Electric guitar:

Wow, nice price. Probably as per others reviews this is either a hit or miss. needs some set up before playing. No buzz. Humbucker really hot and single coils clear and crisp. Would change strings and definetly put some good oil to the fretboard (scary dry....) Otherwise Really happy with this. Neck and body well balanced, not fretting issues or electronics at all. There is no information of Rogue Guitars on line....Just got to the store and try one before.

Comments about Rogue Rocketeer Deluxe Electric guitar:

This is actually a really good guitar! the price with tax was like 80 bucks so i didn't expect too much, but holy smokes i didn't expect this much! the electronics were very solid, except the pickups switch but it only goes out occasionally. the bridge is awesome and the tuning stability is ok, the g string goes out of tune a WHOLE LOT. If you modify the bridge a little bit and do some other things to the strings you will get a solid tune guitar. go to you tube if you want to do that. just look up "how to keep a strat in tune" and theres a few videos on that. i actually took out the two single coils and made the bridge pickup have less output. then i put either the neck or middle pickup back in the neck pickup and it sounds soooo much better. all in all i give this a 10/10.
