I needed a new hard case for a Takamine G Series guitar that I bought 16 years ago. I was nervous abut the fit and durability when I placed the order, although the price was right so I went for it. I couldn't be happier. First, the case durability is great. I don't understand why some of these reviews has me nervous about that, which is the main reason why I am taking time to write this review. It's a solid case. Don't be nervous about that. I have another, more expensive instrument that came with a custom case and yes...that one is like the Fort Knox of cases. That guitar was a few thousand dollars so it darn well better come protected, right?! While this case is not hand-carved from steel to protect against sledgehammers and missiles, it is the closest possible thing to a custom case that I have seen. We have all seen our share of those flimsy cardboard cases out there and this simply isn't comparable to those in any way. Again, I'm confused about people's reaction to the durability. It's great. Next, the fit was surprisingly perfect. This was another concern because I didn't want my guitar to rattle around at all. My model is older so I was a bit worried. It doesn't move a bit and the neck isn't stressed in any way. It literally is a PERFECT fit. Overall, if you need a case for general use, this is a good one. Go for it, especially such a reasonable price.

A good case, could easily be a 5 star case. Pros: It's really spacious for Dreadnoughts, it's deep, really deep...deeper than the average dreadnought body, so you get everything inside safely. It's also nicely lined. Outer material is strong, and works well with scratches. The one I got, I found the metal latches very soft in texture, they bend very easily, if you push the latch down it bends under your thumb. The latch near the base was bent easily in transporting as carry on luggage. It's a hard case, it's suppose to take a little pounding, and it didn't do well here...at least the metal latches.

Quite well made throughout. Despite the listed dimensions, I was a bit surprised by the overall size of the case, as it stands slightly higher than that of my Rickenbacker 360

I own two of these cases and use them to house my Martin 12 and Martin 6 strings ! Very well built , sturdy cases , nice and cushy inside to give your guitar a comfy ride . It also has a nice storage compartment inside for capos , strings , etc. and a key locking closure outside . Very nice case for the dough !

Comments about Road Runner RRDWA Deluxe Wood Dreadnought Acoustic Case:

I purchased this case for my Martin this past weekend & got it loaded up in the car & noticed the bottom of the case was torn. Went back into the store, they kindly offered a refund if i kept the product. Ended up swapping it for a floor model as no more in back. They mus have had a bad batch from the warehouse since "they've been having issues with these cases all week" per the manager. Other than the ouside of the case being torn, it works great!!

Had it as long as my guitar, and the case shows age faster, just sayin. Other wise the best case out there!

Comments about Road Runner RRDWA Deluxe Wood Dreadnought Acoustic Case:

So, I needed a new case for my acoustic guitar. This RoadRunner case was recommended to me by the folks at Guitar Center. It is a quite well built case that would probably do the job of protecting my guitar.... if I could use the case. Which I can't. There is one fatal flaw in this case that makes it unusable for me.

The case smells very strongly of solvent-based glue.

I stored my expensive acoustic guitar in this case for a while. The guitar, which used to smell nicely of the wood it was made of, now also smells of solvent based glue. It smells so strongly of glue that I am uncomfortable playing the guitar. The folks at GC said I should just air the air the case out for a while. I did that. Six months later, the case still stinks overwhelmingly of glue. I can't use the case. (I don't store the guitar in this case anymore. After about a month it stopped stinking of glue, and smells like wood again.)

Anyway, I wish I had something better to relay. The case itself is quite sturdy and well-made..... if you can stand the smell.

I love this case. This is the second one that I have purchased (one for each guitar.) it's saved me from having to buy a new guitar more than once. The only thing I don't like is that it is slightly bulky.

Comments about Road Runner RRDWA Deluxe Wood Dreadnought Acoustic Case:

These cases all around are great, I have the wooden rectangular cases for my Bass and Electric, which I have no issue with and would buy again if the need arises. This is another fine product that I will purchase again to store my 1964 hollow body. This fits my Dreadnought quite well, as the title puts it, snug as a bug. The storage is ample and for tuners and picks and whatever you may have for your guitar. Overall I feel that the quality for the price is hard to match. I saw someone give a one star review because the case was scuffed, yet stating that it did what he needed it to do. I don't get it, and you shouldn't try to get it either. This is a great case for the cost.
