The Vintage Emperor Coated Drumhead is a reissue of the first Remo Emperor drumhead that changed the art of drumming in the late 1960s. Constructed of 2 plies of 7.5-mil polyester films, it features the sensitivity and snare response of the Coated Emperor, with accentuated mid and low frequencies and increased durability.

I got these heads a few weeks ago for my tama set for the 8", 10", 12", 14", and 16" and they sound wonderful. I have gone through remo ambassadors and then pinstripe and they didn't make that sound i was looking for. These heads are durable and have excellent tone and sustain. if you're looking for flatter tones on the lower toms, i recommend putting gels on them
The Vintage Emperor has a great, deep, round sound. I had playing on Evans G1 and Aquarian Studio-X before these. I'm a huge fan of the 2-ply coated sound. And these heads provide the huge sound that most coated heads can get.
I've been playing for almost 2 years now and I've gone through drum heads like crazy because I just couldn't get the sound I was looking for but when I got these I was blown away. The first thing it made me think of is like the really deep breaking benjamin tom sound. So if you want a deep mid ranged durable drum head without a lot of overtones this is the drum head for you.
