The Presonus ACP-88 has 8 full-featured compressors/limiters/gates transparently control unwanted noise and bleed-through. Control vocals, tame drums, protect speakers, tighten low end -all from just 2 rackspaces. Features control of threshold, ratio, attack, release, hard/soft knee, auto/manual attack and release curves, and gain. Balanced or unbalanced 1/4" I/O. 2 side chains for every channel: one for spectral compression, one for gate processing. Each channel has full gain reduction metering, compression threshold indicators, and gate open/close.

Excellent Transparent Compression

Rarely would I give a piece of gear a "top" rating, but there is nothing to fault the ACP-88 with. Its eight channels of transparent compression can handle any signal from bass to vocals to drums with ease. The unique metering system makes setting your compression levels simple, and keeping tabs at a glance is a breeze. I use it in the studio on drums, but it's perfect for live apps also. One goes to every remote gig we record. Its a perfect match for the Presonus Digimax LT, an 8-channel ADAT pre with inserts on each channel. The two make an awesome combination. If you want clean, transparent compression with no coloration - look no further the ACP-88 is your magic box.
