I'm really impressed by these speakers. They are compact and light weight and they sound great! The highs are nice and clear and they have pretty darned good bass considering their size. My only complaint is that speaker cable fits too loosely in the jacks. It didn't cause a problem during a performance I just did, but it makes me kind of nervous. It should be an easy thing to fix, though. All in all, I'm really happy with this purchase and would highly recommend these speakers to anyone.
I bought an ancient Peavey XR600c PA amplifier really cheap but didn't have any speakers. I couldn't find any on craig's list so I looked here for some. I thought about a pair of Peavey PR 12s or PV 15s, but then I found these speakers. I thought I'd give them a try. I'm really glad I did because they are pretty darned good. Of course I can't turn my PA up all the way, I'll blow them. They're only 50 watts each, but they're much louder and more clear than I never imagined. I routed my Line 6 Spider II amp through it and totally drowned out the drummer without turning the PA past 3. I can even play bass through them. I have an old Gibson EB3 bass I plugged directly into the PA. Even on the bass's super-lower "number one" setting the bass sounded great. Now I'm really looking forward to getting a set of higher-end Peavey speakers. If these cheap ones sound good, I'm looking forward to hearing a pair with 15" speakers.
I bought these speakers cause of there size and i love peavey products but let me tell you donty let there size fool you they pack quite a punch for there price and wattage.. I have them hooked up to a behringer euro power 4000 and these lil speakers bang enough to do a small venue i highly recommend these speaker to any one
