Overview

The SE A10E is the first all-mahogany guitar in the Paul Reed Smith's SE Angelus lineup. The all-mahogany body construction of this guitar provides a controlled attack and strong fundamental, delivering a warm, woody tone with a focused, punchy midrange. This powerful midrange character allows the A10E to easily find a non-competing place in a mix, making it ideal for both the studio and the stage.

High-quality components include mahogany top, back, sides, and neck, rosewood fretboard, bone nut and saddle, and PRS-designed tuners. The SE A10E shares the same proprietary bracing pattern and several distinct construction features as PRS' acclaimed Maryland-made acoustic line, as well as the company's trademark bird inlays and headstock design. The Angelus Cutaway body shape is both aesthetically pleasing and provides easy access to the upper frets.

These guitars come standard with undersaddle electronics that are accessible via the soundhole with both tone and volume controls.

Comments about PRS SE Angelus A10E Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I found this guitar on-line and took a chance. Wow! I have 5 other guitars and this is my new go-to. It has an incredibly rich full sound acoustic or electric. The string action is as good as it gets, all the way to the 20th. It's a fun clean guitar. Nice to look at too.

Comments about PRS SE Angelus A10E Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

First of all GC of Knoxville is horrible to work with, I ordered a different guitar and they would not fix a set up issue after giving me the go-around for a few weeks. However I decided to order myself this a10e on a leap of faith and had it sent to my house and WOW! Better sound and play than any $1,000 guitar and the case that comes with is excellent and therefore saves you money. I more than recommend this guitar perfect set-up out of the box.

Purchased Sight Unseen - Best Purchase I've Made

        By james

        from Boulder, CO

Comments about PRS SE Angelus A10E Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Over the past few years I have played, owned, and researched an endless supply of guitars at this price point trying to find the one that was best for me, and wish I had the common sense to purchase an SE Angelus from the get-go. I've played the Taylors, the Breedloves, I've owned the Martin DX1KAE, Seagull Entourage CW Black GT QIT, and Blueridge BR40-CE, and while all were great guitars, nothing made me feel more at home and comfortable than the A10E from PRS. This is my first all mahogany and I was nervous about having a less shimmery, lower projection, and flattened sounding guitar, but this is none of that. The mahogany sounds so warm, raw, and rich, and I have no problem with this guitar being heard. It sounds amazing and has the unique capability to stand out among other instruments and guitars. The feel of the neck is what I am most excited about. The only neck I've come across that I felt equally as comfortable around was my Martin DX1KAE. I may be slightly biased as I gigged with 2 electric PRS SE's, and while the acoustic Angelus does not have an identical neck, the shape is very similar and very comfortable. My fingers just know where to go. As far as quality from the factory, PRS as we all know is top notch. I took my guitar straight to a local luthier for a proper set-up (as guitar did have a lot of neck buzz per it sitting in a guitar center distribution center and being shipped to a very dry place like Colorado) and the luthier had nothing but positive things to say, unable to detect any flaws in the fretwork, wood, or quality as a whole. I bought this guitar without being able to play first in the store and it was the best decision I have ever made. Do not feel worried about buying sight unseen, as you are sure to appreciate this guitar and be happy with your purchase. The beauty of this guitar (especially in black) speaks for itself.
