  • Don't Hate b/c It Ain't All Wood...

    As a long time Ovation Player I find that the Balladeer is not only the nicest of all Ovation guitars but is also the best sounding. The neck on the Balladeer is a perfect cut that is more than just conducive to speed and proficiency in chord changes, it's like therapy for the guitar players hands. Play this guitar acousticlly and you will be impressed by the brilliant sound, play it plugged in and prepare to be blown away by its presence. Don't let the composite body fool you, this guitar CAN, WILL and DOES compete/keep up with Martin, Gibson and Taylor.

  • Ongoing issue with the strings not inline with the neck...

    Great 12-string with ONE major exception. Shipped directly from a distribution center to my house. All perfect except the strings are not inline with the neck. It looks like the bridge must be a 1/32" off which creates a problem with the high E-strings to fall off the neck. I reordered it and after waiting for a month because it was back ordered, the 2nd one also came through with the same issue (it was inspected, but obviously missed). Now I'm trying to get the local Guitar Center retail store to have an Ovation sales rep get involved to find one that's right. Too bad that QC in Korea didn't catch this. I hope someone cares enough from management in Ovation's distribution center to hand select this model in a timely fashion, if there's one in fact that's not flawed.

    Great guitar for the money. Nice highs and lows. Neck is sturdy and fretting is easy. Overall a great value. Sounds great plugged or unplugged.
