These cases will protect your equipment as expected as long as you understand they are not in the same class as the roto formed plastic cases. The material they are made from will stand up to light abuse and everyday wear and tear from hauling your gear around. Just dont toss everything in the trailer and take off and expect these cases to be in good shape when you get where you are going. These work great for a budget minded starter and you can purchase heavier duty cases as these wear out.
In Early February of this year I purchased a set of your Nomad 7 Piece Fusion Cases. When the cases arrived I was pleased to see they seemed to be the fine quality I had heard so much about. Here we are not even 7 months later and the corners of my bass case are tearing out, the tom cases are pealing apart on the edges, the snare case is separating in the layers of fiber board, most of the rivets are gone on the edges, the handles and straps are in good condition but I am sure you buy those from someone else. NOMAD ADVERTISES: Construction using durable, light-weight fiber board the fiber board is warping, tearing, and simply falling apart. Reinforcement with heavy-duty metal hardware the rivets holding the "heavy duty hardware" are ripping out of the "durable" fiberboard After paying more than $300 for 7 cases I was hoping for them to last more than 7 months. They sit in my dry garage or studio. They are transported in the back of my SUV out of the weather. They are transported one a week for practice and usually 6 to 8 times a month for gigs. The only moisture they have seen is some snow flakes in the winter between the gig and the truck and some rain drops doing the same. They are transported in and out of studio and gigs on a dolly so they don't drag. The only sliding they do is on the carpet in the back of my Explorer. The edges look like they should be 10 years old, all scuffed and falling apart, torn, tattered, not the quality Nomad brags about. I would love for you to see the quality of these cases. I purchased them NEW after having another Music Union drummer suggest them. Since then I have been told I should have bought Cabbage Cases, little more expensive but no problems. I liked the light weight, easy storage, lower price. Now I am not sure I got a value.
