I purchased these because of the price, couldn't pass up even junk at that price. The only drawback is a little noise when handling the plug. Also, no volume control. But having said that, again for the price, if they last a year its great. The sound is good for the price again. I use them for my office listening to iTunes and on my iPhone while working on my drum set. They work great for both applications.

I've been wroking in recording studios of all types since the 70s. These are some of the worst head phones I've ever encountered. The cable on the jack end of these headphones breaks easily. I bought a set of three pair, and two of them had shorts within a day, making listening to playback a cruel joke and monitoring during recording impossible. The third set lasted about two more days. The cheap plastic housing does nothing to protect the cheap wiring inside. Do yourself a favor and just roll up your money and stick in your ear. You'll hear about as well and can still get your money back.

I bought these on Stupid Deal Of The Day. They are good for that low price. But horrible for the retail value they normally try to sell them at. Exactly the same as a couple other headphones. They all come from the same factory, but with different markings put on for the different companies (Marantz, Tascam, MG).

I ordered 2 of these for myself and my son. We both love the great sound. They are great for recording or just playing quietly late at night.

        Maybe not a "studio headphone"

        By James

Comments about Musician's Gear MG900 Studio Headphones:

These are relatively well made headphones for the price - however, I wouldn't call them "studio headphones." I was looking for another set to have around the studio, ones that could be "thrown around" and not worry about - unlike the Sony MDRs. Compared to the Sony phones, these sound like you've got a blanket between your ear and the ear-cup. They also feel like they have enhanced bass. So, they sound pleasant enough for listening to music, but I wouldn't buy them if you're looking for a true, flat response, studio headphone.

Comments about Musician's Gear MG900 Studio Headphones:

This product had pretty good sound. I liked them a lot and they didn't feel uncomfortable unless use for several hours. Recently the right speaker only worked if it was bent a certain way until the left one went out as well. As I was bending it the whole 3.5mm jack broke and I had to pull it out of my computer using pliers. I would not recommend this product to anyone due to it only lasting about a month and a half before the issues started to role in.

Comments about Musician's Gear MG900 Studio Headphones:

Headphones simply did not work when I plugged them into my amp. Thinking maybe something was wrong with my amp, I plugged my old pair of headphones in, but they worked just fine. Returned the MG900s the next day.
