  • Violin Bass Case

    The case I ordered for my Hofner bass came in an orderly fashion, but was not the right case for my bass. Apparently, this case is made only for the Epiphone model of the violin bass. My Hofner does not fit into it. The compartment for accessories needs to be moved up 2"-3" to allow for the curve of the Hofner neck. The GC team I worked with were diligent enough to find this out for me and refunded my purchase price, as they were not able to obtain the correct case. That's too bad they don't have access to all guitars they sell. Great service from the GC team as always!

  • Almost a good fit - almost!

    I got a nice little Epiphone 'Beatle Bass' copy and love it enough to protect it with a decent case which had to be special ordered from the Guitar Center (it was not carried in-house and the one they offered me was a one-size fits all square shelled case). So, within one week I had a decent case, however, it is not a perfect fit. The neck is a bit tight but not so much I worry about warping it ... just a snug fit. My model #Musician's Gear Standard Violin Bass Case (Black) (#541852) and the only one I find on this web site is #541852 I like the six locks and the quality. Any guitar worth owning is a guitar worth protecting -- don't even think of putting a gig bag on a nice guitar. The best part of this is that when I arrived two hours before opening of this Guitar Center in Beaverton, OR -- the manager(s) let me in so I could continue on to the Oregon coast rather than wait around. GREAT SERVICE! Thank you!
