Comments about Music Nomad String Fuel - All In One String Cleaner & Lubricant:

I have been using String Fuel with excellent results ever since it came on the market. Many other so called string cleaners are actually string killers, but Music Nomad String Fuel does what they say it does. Bass strings are expensive and anything that extends the usable tone life and increases playability is most welcome.

The best string conditioner I have used...EVER

Comments about Music Nomad String Fuel - All In One String Cleaner & Lubricant:

While I have been a long time user of another, spray on product for extending string life, I have also tried the other products and nothing has done for my strings what String Fuel has done. I have effectively been able to double the life I get from my strings. Now this might be due to a more regimented use of the product which comes from it actually working. The included string cloth in the String Fuel case keeps things simple. Before and after playing I simply apply and wipe. I have gone from about 2-3 weeks from a set of nickel wound strings to over a month, and as someone that has always been known for working my strings to get a month out of them is a very welcome occurrence, especially with more than 5 guitars. For the price, $1.99 I say run out and get some. If I am wrong, you are not out much, but if I am right, spending $1.99 gets you double the string time, that is money saved, and time as well. I use double locking trems, and am not afraid to pull up on my one month old strings. String Fuel is my new go to string conditioning product. Try it!!!

Comments about Music Nomad String Fuel - All In One String Cleaner & Lubricant:

Great wide applicator design and works well initially. Solution does not last long and should be sold separately as a refill for the applicator.
In the current form, I would likely suggest an alternative that lasts longer, is less expensive, and performs similar string cleaning/lubricating. As such ... Almost the Best !!!

Comments about Music Nomad String Fuel - All In One String Cleaner & Lubricant:

I've used Fast Fret for years so the comparisons are unavoidable. The String Fuel applicator is superior, wide and it doesn't shred apart leaving white material all over my bass! The wipe cloth is too thin, a bass string begins to tear it apart after 1 use. Fast Fret leaves a much smoother, slicker feel than String Fuel and seems to clean better giving the string back more "zing". Overall the win goes to Fast Fret thou I do like the applicator better with the String Fuel.

Comments about Music Nomad String Fuel - All In One String Cleaner & Lubricant:

I'm a bass player, and every string product I've tried other than 'String Fuel' will absolutely kill a roundwound string DOA. I tried 'String Fuel' on a three month old set of roundwounds that were on their last legs. If 'String Fuel' killed 'em off completely, I had a fresh set in reserve. Well I am pleased to report that 'String Fuel' has indeed extended the life of my string set. No, not like new, but certainly livened up the upper mid snarl on down to the deep growl. It does clean the strings fairly well and imparts a nice feeling lubricity. I applied 'String Fuel' quite liberally twice. Once to wipe off and clean the strings and another application to leave on overnight to soak in. Please note that I would NOT put 'String Fuel' on a brand new string set. I did also apply 'String Fuel' to a well seasoned set of flatwounds with excellent results.

Comments about Music Nomad String Fuel - All In One String Cleaner & Lubricant:

Bass strings are expensive. Most so called string cleaners absolutely kill a roundwound. They'll be clean, but dead. NOT SO With String Fuel. I had a set of rounds that were about 90 days old and going downhill fast, so why not try String Fuel?

I applied String Fuel liberally and put my jazz bass to bed overnight. The next day I was pleasently surprized to hear a more lively tone with some reinvigorated timbre. Like new? No, not even close, but string life extended for sure.

Nice to the touch, and not oily or greasy, but remember that I let it sink in for a good 12 hours first. There is a noticeable lubricity that I like. I then went ahead and treated my year old flatwounds on my Precision to some String Fuel and man alive am I liking that! Nice, very nice indeed! :)
