Take a step-up by taking a step back with this Golden Era-inspired acoustic gem.

Designed by Chris Martin, the CEO-7 is a "00" slope shouldered short scale reminiscent of models from the "Golden Era", with a gorgeous Autumn Sunset Burst finish, Golden Age Relic Nickel 2517 tuners with cream plastic buttons, and authentic headplate lettering. Providing you with a nice booming sound is a solid Adirondack spruce top and solid ebony fretboard complimented by solid genuine mahogany back and sides for complex tonality. Other accoutrements include a striaghtline bridge with drop-in saddle, bone nut, dovetail neck joint, X-scalloped bracing, a modified V neck, and Old Style 18 positioning inlays, grained ivoroid heelcap, and a Delmar tortoise color pickguard. Comes with a 5434 Geib style case.

I was looking for a smaller body "comfort" guitar and found it. (It is bigger than most travel guitars.) The plethora of YouTube clips are right on as to what to expect from this guitar. The quality is impeccable. I own a Taylor 714-CE Grand Auditorium cedar top with rosewood back. The CEO-7 sounds better than the Taylor, has more volume and is slightly more woody. Definitely great note separation. Plays well both finger style and with pick. The neck is very comfortable and the action came set pretty low, lower than most martins you will see at the store. I would say the sweet bass note on this instrument is the low A and it shines in the mid-range. Not too dark and not too bright. Signed by C. Martin IV, no 970. Not sure how many they will make.

I've owned many acoustics over the past 37 years including other Martins several other bran Ds. This is by far the best.
