This thing is amazing and I love making people eat their words. Possibly the best reason to get the Marshall MS-4 Micro Stack is watch peoples jaws hit the floor once they hear it. Just after it arrived via the brown truck I began to endure an assault of comments such as ?Where's the amp?? apparently because the box it was shipped in was small. Curious looks were followed by confusion which quickly evolved into laughter when I placed the MS-4 on top of an Infinity Studio Standard tower that completely dwarfed it. What followed were further comments such as ?Barbie is going to love having that amp stack in her dream house!?. I hate to use such an old cliche but it just works here; Marshall MS-4 Micro Stack $59.99 Shipping $6.00 Seeing jaws drop when they hear the sound that comes from this little box, priceless.
I purchased this for my son, an avid musician for Christmas this year. When it arrived I felt awful because it was so small and looked so incapable of being anything worthwhile for my son to use. Wow, was I ever surprised! Turns out, this was my sons favorite Christmas gift of all! His wife said she could hear it bumping from the studio all the way into their house! Who would have believed it? My son said the best part was it's portability. He can take his guitar anywhere and have great sound! I'm thinking the beach next summer sounds really great! Thank you, Marshall! (This is also my maiden name, but sadly, no relation!) And thank you Guitar Center! I got this one right!
Since I'm traveling a'lot I dont want to bring all of my amps with me so i picked up this one. This guitar is much, much louder than it seems but still sounds good. This amp is better suited for distortion as the clean tones aren't as crisp as they should be. All in all this amp is great for traveling and distortion and i would recommend it to anyone who needs to travel and not take a large amp.
