My First Amp
When i started playing guitar, i used money i saved up to buy a guitar and amp. When i went with a more expensive guitar, i bought this amp because i was short on cash. This amp is by far a superior practice amp, and the 10W is an understatement. It has a pretty clear sound and I still use today. A great buy for players short on cash!

Not the best for the money......
I got this amp as my first amp. At first I thought it was awesome, until my ear matured. The cleans are decent, but the drive channel is terrible. As with most other practice amps, the drive is digital and sounds terrible. The contour does its job, and i find that i usually have it at about 9:00. I never use the drive channel on this thing, just boost the clean channel with my Tubescreamer. I suspose this amp isn't bad for a beginners amp, but under no circumstance should you EVER buy the half or full-stack 100 watt versions. There are some other amps in the price range that sound alot better than this amp, like the Peavey Vyper for example. Overall this amp is not that great. Its basically an amp that Marshall made out of bad parts, put their name on, and sells to beginner guitarists who have no clue, and only know that its the same brand as the JCMs that their heroes play on stage. This amp is overpriced. I'm giving it 3 stars ONLY because I am considering how cheap it is. Do not buy this amp.

Love this little amp. I tried all different models and kept coming back to this one. Simplicity and ease of use was what I was looking for and that warm/rich Marshall tone sold me. I wanted an amp to use at home that had an excellent clean and overdrive sound and this fit the bill perfectly. I'm thrilled and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great product at an excellent price.

I was very surprised wit both the clean and dirty sound out of this amp. I also have a Line 6 Spider III that has more features but I think I like the dirty tone a little better. For the price, it's tough to beat. I honestly bought it for the name because I the for anything Marshall it was a good price. But remember it's only a practice amp so don't somehow get fooled into thinking is sounds just like the tube half-stack. I play bass as #1 instrument and then guitar and I plug into this every chance I get. I bought it for my 10yr old son and he makes me ask for permission.

It is pretty loud but it lacks effects you cant add anything besides gain and contour which isnt enough for me. But if you are just looking for an amp to play in your house this is for you.

I bought this for my 11 year old daughter who admires Orianthe. We tried out a number of practice amps. This one brought a big grin to her face and is the one we took home. The sounds that come out of this little box when you push the channel button and the light turns red (for distortion) are classic. She never turns it up past half way and it is plenty loud. Couldn't have asked for a better value.

as soon as I turned it on, the overdrive was already on I thought that it was a one time occurrence. It wasn't, if I left it off for more than fifteen minutes, after only playing on clean, the overdrive would be on the next time I turned it on. this didn't bother me though what bothered me was how it sounded on overdrive. which was very muddy and cloudy the only way I could clean it up was turning down the gain, which was good for blues, and the contour did change the sound a bit but it only went from cloudy to murky so I went back for a refund
