great amp

i bought this amp awhile ago because i wanted something with a lot of power that could do the job. i use this head on 2 4X12 marshall speaker cabinets and it sounds perfect. i never even turn the volume past half way and it's loud enough for playing in a band. i use this amp for tons of shows. the distortion that it comes with is decent but not that great so i use a metal zone pedal with it and it works out fine. i don't really care for the digital effects but overall this amp has a perfect sound if your into loud heavy music.

Great Affordable Head

I was looking at Mesa Boogies and Marshall amps at guitar center, played this and FELL IN LOVE, sounded just as good or better than most of the higher priced amps, has good crunch and a great palm mute (most amps lack the good palm mute). I went back and played it multiple times. The effects are a great EXTRA. It comes with 5 Digital Effects: Reverb, Chorus/Delay, Chorus, Delay, and Flange. If you have the money I strongly recommend playing this through a 1960 AV Vintage 4X12, sounds AMAZING, I?ve heard nothing like it. The only amp I would buy over this is the Marshall JCM2000 Triple Super Lead 100 Head (the tubes give it a little better sound for the clean channel) and that's if I had the money. I would also put that head on the 1960AV cab. It?s the best solid-state amp I have heard so far for a harder more rock sound. GREAT AMP AT A GREAT PRICE!

Best marshall solid state head ever!!!

You can describe this head in one word. INCREDIBLE! Its perfect for anything from playing in the bedroom, to performing on stage. I play this through a custom hand built speaker cabinet, not a Marshall Cabinet. The custom built cabinet has much better sound. It makes my MG100HDFX sound like a valve amp. I just got this amp a couple weeks ago, but it is great. It has 5 Digital Effects. Reverb, Chorus/Delay, Chorus, Delay, and Flange. Amazing marshall head

This is an awesome head!!!

This head is siriously THE BEST head out there for the money. Think about it, a Marshall head for $350! I have had mine for a few months and have gigged 8 times with it and nothing has gone wrong. It is put together very sterdy. It also has way more features than amps that cost way more than it. Siriosly, a GREAT buy!!!
