More channels, more gain, more versatility.

In a nutshell, the Marshall all-valve, 4-channel JVM410H 100-watt tube head is the most versatile Marshall amplifier ever made. It also boasts more gain than any other Marshall to date--and that's really saying something.

Each of its 4 channels-Clean, Crunch, OD1 and OD2-are not only completely independent of each other, they all boast three Modes, all 12 of which are footswitchable and feature their own unique gain structure. It makes the JVM 4-channel effectively 12 Marshalls in one.

The JVM410H has studio-quality digital reverb with a level control for each channel. This is also footswitchable, as are the amp's two Master Volume controls and the Series/Parallel effects loop. Resonance and Presence are equipped with master controls.

Even though the head and combo both house 28 controls and eight LED switches on their front panels, they're incredibly simple to understand because of the extremely logical layout. Each of the four channels has the usual suspects when it comes to controls - Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble and Gain--accounting for 20 of the 28 controls right away. Take away the four reverb controls and you're only left with 4 Master controls--2 Master Volumes plus Resonance and Presence.

Add to this an ingenious footswitch (UK patent pending) and the fact all the amp's switching (channel/modes, Reverb, Master Volume selection, FX loop) can be done via MIDI and you're looking at an incredibly flexible amp! The 6-way footswitch boasts seven LEDs and memory, plus it connects to the amp via a regular guitar cable.

From the cleanest clean to the filthiest distortion ever found in a Marshall and all points in between, the JVM410H all-valve amp head will give you whatever tone you need right when you need it.

  • Jim Marshall Thank You.

As reviewed by Vman on 7/9/2007

I purchased this amp from Guitar Center and got a sweet deal from their 4th of July Sale. I've been messing around with it for a few days now. Just jamming along, testing where my pedals will sound better;effects loop or front, dialing each OD to my taste, setting the footswitch. Now, I think it's time to give my opinon. I usually don't write reviews, but this one was worth it. Simple, go to your local guitar shop and crank it up. You'll be impressed with how high the gains are and how clean the "green" tone is. The clean tone is very impressive for a Marshall. Also try the different independent channels of at least 12. It will give you an idea to how versatile this amp is. You can get that plexi glass, brown tone, thrash metal, Steve Vai or Satch tone. Whatever tone you want this baby can dial it for you. I think I'm selling my Boss MT-2 and EQ since I don't need it anymore. I paired this beast up with a 1960A(4x12) cab. It's loud. Haven't got the chance to crank it up yet. A few things I've noticed. There is a buzz with some channels using the high gain. It's expected with high gain amps. Also, a few of the knobs have tiny turn imperfections. I know it is expensive. It's going to be money well spent. This amp will give you that tone which will make your hair on your back stand and grow. Each taste to ones own. Try it. If you like what hear. Grab it. You won't regret it.

  • Truly Stunning! Perfectly Outrageous! The Final High Gain Solution!!!!!

As reviewed by tony essoe on 5/18/2012

I never write reviews, but the blazing Marshall tones I found screaming back at me demanded that share the details of this remarkable amp. I have 8 Mesa/Boogies in my music room, 3 of which are Mark 4s, and a friend and I did an A/B comparison of every Boogie, back and forth against the JVM410H W/ 4-12 V30 loaded cab. I guess I wouldn't be writing this if the Marshall didn't blow Boogie out of the water, but much to our amazement the Marshall won every time, however I must say the clean tones do not matter as much as the dirty tones for my specific applications and were not scrutinized as closely as Overdrive 1 & Overdrive 2. The high gain tones especially raged beyond what I thought Marshall could do, and has now turned me into a Marshall fanatic. I have since bought 2 more JVM410H heads & 1960 Vintage cabs and have sold alot of now-unnecessary gear. I am glowing as hot as the burning tubes with TOTAL SATISFACTION beyond your 5 star limit.

  • Very satisfied

As reviewed by Brian on 6/2/2011

I have played for 20+ years and have multiple all tube amps. This is a hobby for me as I have a day job that pays well. I bought the JVM410h expecting it to be a pretty good amp. However, I was really surprised. I have a custom shop strat and a regular gibson les paul. Both sound great through this amp and I am astounded at how good it sounds at a low volume. Better than any amp I have, including hand wired boutique jobs. I still don't see how it can sound this good without serious power tube distortion. But it does! You should try this amp and give it a shot before you choose anything else. I have been able to get a good ZZ Top sound, a decent led zep plexi sound, and great cleans as well. Very flexible amp which will be a classic 20 years from now. It is not handwired which is a bit of a disappointment, but I don't know that I would modify anything anyway. If you are into flexibility and want to cover a wide range of styles, this may well be the Marshall for you.
